Place: DS Comments: Did I misunderstand? Was it Prozac Jack the Magnificent? Very clever, and funny! Thanks Jack and Donnie!
Place: DS Comments: Thank you SandyLynn/Don, Barbara/Donnie, Jack/Glynda for the many months of planning. It was wonderful! Thank you Lonnie for being our photographer, you are fabulous (or make us look fabulous or better make us look fabulous!) It was wonderful seeing classmates that I hadn't for forty plus years. And oh so bittersweet leaving Saturday night. Can't believe it's been 50 years! God bless each and everyone!
Place: DeKalb, Tx Comments: To the 50th Reunion Committee what a excellent time everyone had you've knocked the ball out of the park. Carolyn & I are still on a high Monday morning. Keep the pictures coming enjoy remembing.
Place: Lazy S Ranch Comments: I thought "Kar-Jack the magnificent' was one of the many highlights. Thanks to the planning group. A fine time was had by all.
Place: Kerrville, texas Comments: Can you believe how fast 50 years went by! Thanks so much to SNL and Don, Donnie and Barbara, Jack and Glenda. And who could forget our fantastic photographer and assistant! Lonnie was everywhere and I cannot wait to see his pictures! It was fantastic seeing and talking to everyone, half of who probably wondered off saying "now what was her name", but that is ok because next time you see me you with think "oh yeah, that is what's her name" Thanks for a great weekend!
Place: Oak Cliff Comments: All I can say is wow! What a wonderful weekend! The hard work of the committee was quite evident!
Place: Melissa USA Comments: Didn't we have a good time? Yes, we did!! Thanks to Sandy Norman Lynn, Barbara and Donnie Fugate, and Jack Hawkins (and Glynda I'm sure) for your tireless hours of planning, preparing and pulling off the greatest reunion ever! I really enjoyed getting to catch up with old and dear friends. I know there were people I missed saying hello to so "Hello" to those half dozen or so people! What fun...what fun! Thanks again and again reunion committee!
Place: Plano, TX Comments: I want to give a BIG "Thank You" to Sandy, the Fugates, Jack Hawkins, and probably many others that put this last "big" 50th Reunion together. What a great job over many months of work and planning! Friday night, Saturday's Tribute in the afternoon, and Saturday evening's dinner and activities. I enjoyed the many conversations and seeing everyone from out-of-state plus those living in Texas. Thank you so much!
Place: Oregun Comments: Great story about Roy's ring, glad he got it back. Mine was stolen years ago when we had a break in while we were at work. I checked the pawn shops and the police but never found it. I also had a rind my Grandmother had given me, a black stone with a Roman looking head engraved on it, also stolen and never recovered. I know every one will have a great time at the reunion, so be safe and enjoy. I will be waiting for the photos.
Place: Ready to Roll . . . Comments: Registration Desk is open until 7:30pm tonight. If anyone can't get there by then ( I realize some still work & traffic is heck around here) just come on in. Find me and I'll be happy to get your packet for you. No late fees apply. Everyone has a packet with a Dir & name badge inside. They'll be waiting when you get there. Here's the link again to the Dls. Morning News story about Roy Goodloe & his lost/Found Sr. Ring! Good article with photos. http://www.dallasnews.com/news/local-news/20160922-south-oak-cliff-grad-reunited-with-class-ring-50-years-after-it-was-lost-in-a-snowball-fight.ece
Place: Lewisville, TX Comments: Sandy, Thanx for posting the article. I was about to do so but saw you had it covered. We will see ya'll tonight but with work, the drive and rush hour traffic it may be almost 7 before we get there. Try to stay sober everyone so we can catchup (or is that ketchup?).
Place: Moving day - Hyatt here we come! Comments: The article about Roy Goodloe & his missing Sr. ring is in today's Dallas Morning News on pg 4 of the Metro section. If you've already left home or don't take the paper, here's a link directly to it. Nice article with photos! Even mentions our Reunion. See y'all tonight at 5:30 for the Reception and start of the party!!! http://www.dallasnews.com/news/local-news/20160922-south-oak-cliff-grad-reunited-with-class-ring-50-years-after-it-was-lost-in-a-snowball-fight.ece
Place: NH Comments: One more sleep and I'll be there! We are leaving in the morning and get in about 2:00. I am so excited to see everyone! All of ya'll travel safe.....
Place: Lago Vista, TX Comments: Still working our trip list, but think we'll be headed up that way by late tomorrow morning. Jack - how on earth did y'all bribe my cousin, Larry Edwards, to register for this one? Dug out my '66 ring - it's pinky-size now. Sent Mike Dunn a note that we'll miss him at this one - was looking forward to seeing him again. Looking forward to seeing all of y'all - til tomorrow evening!
Place: Reunion Choas Comments: Carolyn - Our humidity is fine . . . we have LOTS of it! No shortage here. I'm getting my clothes ready to go in suitcase in the morning. Also have 18 boxes or large bags lined up full of stuff for both nights. Al of it goes . . . Here's a tip regarding the name badge code. Remember, these badges are custom made, no run-of-the-mill for this class. Here's the code . . . All '66ers have GOLD badges. All Guest/Spouses/Friends have WHITE badges. Therefore if you see someone with a GOLD one, yeah you need to sneak a peek at their name because you probably know them! You can breath easy if they have a WHITE badge because they aren't from our class.
