Place: Sweltering in Richardson Comments: Darn it . . . I missed Paul & Kathy Scholte's anniversary yesterday. Happy Anniversary you two, hope yesterday was a good day for you both as I know y'all have been through so much the last 4 to 5 years. I believe it's the big 50th Anniversary. Y'all were only kids when you got married but it must have true love because 50 years later y'all are still going strong. My best to you both!
Place: Slow Bake in Richardson Comments: Yesterday evening in the mail I received another donation check. It was from Larry Thomas. Larry, thank you so much for that very generous donation to our class SOC Fund!!
Place: Richarson Comments: Talked with Charles few minutes ago. Today, 8-8-23, he finally go to come home from the hospital. He was there 3 weeks yesterday. He did sound good tonight when I talked with him. He is so grateful for all the calls and prayers y'all sent. SOC Friends are the BEST!
Place: Richardson Comments: Quick update on Charles today, 8-1. Talked with him about an hour ago and still in hospital. they will do a major evaluation Friday, 8-4,to see where all his levels are and how he is responding. Will be Fri at the earliest before he can go home. He wants everyone to know how much he appreciates the prayers and the calls. He said "Thank you so much!"
Place: Richardson Comments: I am, I'm too delicate to be out in the sun/heat. It's my poor flowers and shrubs in the backyard, which gets sun all day. Even though they are sun loving shrubs / flowers this is too much for their leaves. The all day hot blistering sun is burning the leaves. I hate having to stay in all day from about 10 to sundown!! I feel like a bat!
Place: DeKalb Comments: Good morning! Stay out of this heat!
Place: Richardson Comments: Well in that case, count me in. Yeah, I like a lot of those classmates from '67!
Place: DeKalb Comments: Of course, it would have Air Conditioning this would be a high end establishment. Also the class of 67 has showed interest.
Place: Richardson Comments: Roe, it sounds good. But, one question . . . will it have A/C??? Man, even my shrubs are wilting down here.
Place: Cowville Comments: Talked to Mossman the other day, he was in good spirt, I gave him an assignment to find an assistance living place for the class of 66. He said he had one in mind that would accommodate our class. We would have wheelchair races down the hall ways, our cheerleaders would lead us in our favorite yells. Our Debs would march on as our band would play on. Who all are ready too move in?
Place: Richardson Comments: Talked with Charles today, 7-29, and they started the new regimen of medicines Thursday. So far so good. Hopefully he will be much better by Monday and the new meds will allow him to go home.
Place: Richardson Comments: Just talked with Charles (7-26) and he's still in the hospital. He found out late today that the new medication regime wasn't working well enough and now back to ground zero! Starting over tomorrow. He doesn't seem to catch a break.
He was so happy about all the calls he received from friends and couldn't wait to tell me who all called him!! Thank y'all for caring, it means so much. Y'all are the best! ![]() ![]()
