Cataract surgery tomorrow morning.  I'm more than a little nervous.  It's only routine surgery when it's happening to someone else!

We ended up having breakfast Sunday with my brother, as his wife wasn't feeling well.  Lots of coffee and I had waffles & chicken.  Yum, whoever thought of that for breakfast hit the nail on the head!

No Shortcake, Don didn't make that ride this yr.  Had too many things to tie up here and finish because he's headed to Houston Friday (will stay with his mom) to do the ride in Alvin, TX.  He'll stay at his mom for several days before coming back home.  But, my brother did!  He & a friend went to C. S. yesterday evening and he rode today.

There were so many clocks to choose from Jack that I decided to bring you a brochure and you can order your own. Besides I had already maxed out your credit card on my souvenirs....thanks for that by the way!
Will go see my sister on Easter. First holiday without Mom. Too many "firsts"
I just saw a whole group of cyclists go over our bridge! SNL...is Don riding here this year?

Life can turn on a dime.  As it has turned out, I won’t be going to Bennett Spring for Easter weekend.

I talked with my sister-in-law at about 5:00 and told her that I should get to Bennett a little after noon on Friday.  At a little after 7:00 I got a call from my brother saying that they were heading home.  Lisa had just gotten a call that her mother had had a stroke, so Lisa will be leaving for Ft. Worth Friday morning.  Hopefully Mrs. Baird will recover – but who knows.  Please remember Lisa and her mom in your prayers.

The Easter decorations are sweet.

I'll be with David and Lisa (brother and sister-in-law) and their crazy/angelic dogs Teddy and Bentley at Bennett Spring State Park for the Holiday.  The trout have nothing to fear from me, though.  I just love being there.

We are home! Got on yesterday about 2 pm. It is 4 m now and, of course I cannot sleep. My clock thinks it is 11:30 am.
The trip was really great and saw some beautiful sights. Not totally happy with cruise ship. The ship itself was great and the bed was really comfortable. Wanted to bring it home. The breakfast and lunch on the ship were rear but dinner was lacking. Did not have enough servers so usually took about two hours to eat. Most of the food was pretty good. UT missed lobster night like on big ships! Would probably not go on Avalon again.
And I will never let the cruise line arrNge flight for 10 hour flight. We were in economy. On the way over felt like sardines. Fortunately on the way back got two seats on side..more comfortable. Next time it will be business or first class! Anyway...did get lots of pictures so get ready!

OK, I wrote ck and mailed in with form for '67s 50th reunion.  Put in mail box yesterday.  Since '67 has only one price & it's for both nights, guess I'll be going to both nights! [smile]  Will probably see some '66ers there too because a number of our '66ers married someone from '67.  I too know several from '67 as we had Shorthand, Homemaking, typing, study hall together.

So Sammy & Sarah -  - -  'I'll see you & the Mullins at the reunion!!  [thumb]
