Place: In the boonies south of Benbrook! Comments: Had planned on coming tonight but it's my son's birthday and we're all getting together. Next time! 👍😁
Place: Lucas Comments: David Mitchell....David, Deepest Sympathy for the loss of Ron Jobe....Sincerely, Bovie
Place: Sachse Comments: Looks like Mike and I won't be there tomorrow as we both are sick. We both have bronchitis and we sound like a couple of hoarse barking seals. We came back from a great vacation a week ago but I was sick all the way home and now Mike has it too. I also was diagnosed with a sinus infection. I hate missing everyone but we would not be good company. Hope all have a great time. See you in September I hope. P.S. We picked up our new puppy (an 8 week old miniature bull terrier) the day after we came back from vacation as had been previously arranged so we have been dealing with that on top of being sick. It's like having a toddler in the house. She's a sweetie though.
Place: Richardson Comments: Jim - Sorry you & Geneva aren't going to make it, was really looking forward to seeing y'all. But, can only imagine how uncomfortable it would be driving a long distance with a very sore back! Take care & will look forward to seeing y'all at the Fall Mini.
Place: Carthage, TX Comments: Looks like we will not make this one. I had a cyst removed from my back yesterday and it is really sore. Have had it for years and finally got the courage to get it removed. St Patrick's Day was my Mom and Dad's Anniversary. March 17, 1934.
Place: Richardson Comments: Happy St. Patrick's Day to all the Irish and to those who just like to drink beer! My dad was Irish and yes, he loved his beer. He passed away 8 yrs ago on St. Patrick's Day. Seemed very appropriate. Cathy - glad you & Fred can make it and I've suddenly been getting emails from others saying they will too. See y'all tomorrow and remember it's also Gordy's b-day tomorrow!
Place: Paradise Comments: Fred and I plan on being there Saturday Looking forward to seeing everyone!
Place: Woodlands Comments: We should repeal and replace DST.
Place: Richardson Comments: Don't forget about the Spring Mini this Saturday, 3-18! Look at our Events pg on the website for all the details. See you Saturday.
Place: Richardson Comments: I'm with you guys I HATE DST! It was set up back during the war to give workers more daylight time to build the ships & other military vehicles. It's outlived it's usefulness and I'm happy there's a bill being considered in the Texas House to abolish it. Let's join AZ and the other states who refuse to change the time! Once Texas does it I bet OK will follow and so on and so on. Let's face it, it disrupts your sleep pattern and it does affect your health!
Place: Sachse Comments: Don't know if I ever mentioned it or not but, I HATE DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME! Hopefully Texas congress will vote it out this session.
Place: Dallas Comments: Just when I thought I figured out things, Daylight Savings Time hits. Why do we do this anyway? Heck, 6:00 is no longer 6:00 , but 7:00 unless you live in Denver which is still 6:00 , unless you live in L.A. Which is 5:00 and should be 4:00, unless you live in New York which is 9:00 instead of 8:00. It's a politician that came up with this!
Place: Richardson Comments: I hope everyone remembered to swing the clock arm forward one hour! Now we need to look forward to St. Patrick's Day on Friday and our Mini (and Gordy's birthday) on Saturday.
Place: Richardson Comments: David - It's 3-18 from 2 to 6pm at the Richardson Hyatt. The same place you came last time, it's the Hyatt at Hwy 75 & Campbell. We would all really like to see you & Shirley, really hope you can make it. Take care David, because I know it must be difficult right now. For anyone needing all the details of the Mini, please go to our Events page and see the invite. You can click on the link below. http://www.soc1966.com/company.html
