Place: nyc Comments: So much sad news. Nothing we can say can make it better but my thoughts and prayers are with you Karen. I feel bad mentioning a happier occasion -- I should have posted this earlier. As you may or may not know, our daughter, Eleni, and her boyfriend, Keegan, have been living with us. Keegan is a poet and is talented enough to have been recognized and given a poetry prize that included the publishing of his first book. Keegan is reading in Dallas on Wednesday evening ( May 17th) at the Kettle Gallery. Details can be found here. http://pegasusreadingseries.tumblr.com/ His book includes at least one poem about football which he loves, especially the West Virginia Univ team. Well, we still talk him after the WVU -U TX games. His readings are a lot of fun and I can understand his poems. You will enjoy him if you hear him!!
Place: Dallas Comments: Karen, our hearts and prayers go out for you, Mike and your family. Sam and Sarah

Place: Cypress Springs Lake Comments: It was with much sadness that I read that Karen Melton Davis' son, Adam was killed in a motorcycle accident this past week. They are leaving for Rockport, Tx to make funeral arrangements. She said that they will have a memorial in Dallas in the coming weeks for his friends and family here. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Karen. We love you.
Place: Allen, Texas Comments: Just got home from Richard Phillips' memorial service. It was very nice and touching. Was good to visit again with his sister, Diana Phillips.

Place: Oregun Comments: What a lovely tribute for Ronnie, they all looked so happy. I know he will be missed by those who knew him and his family. Whoever put together the video did an excellent job.

Place: Richardson Comments: Thank you James for info on Richard Phillips services. I found the obit and here is the link for those who would like to see it. https://www.turrentinejacksonmorrow.com/obituaries/richard-m-phillips-sr
Place: NH Comments: Carol, glad that your cataract surgery went well. I have them starting, but not ready to be removed yet. Sally, I will have to look for the SPF lip balm. I will have the packing on my forehead removed this afternoon. It has been nice because the eyebrow on that side is covered, so I don't have to try to match eyebrows! Joe has been washing my hair and he says that it is like washing a baby's head.....I guess it is getting thinner and thinner up there! Toni, hope you are healing.....we can now call you ORROZ.....for the backwards Z! RIP Richard.
Place: Carthage, Texas Comments: Services for Richard M. Phillips, Sr.will be held at 4:00 PM, Friday, May 12, 2017 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. Richard passed away on Tuesday, May 9th.
Place: Allen, Texas Comments: I am so sad to hear that Richard Phillips has passed away. I noticed something about that on Face Book. I looked at it again a few minutes ago, and his son had written that Richard died. Don't know any details. Richard and I had been friends since we were 4 years old. Our friendship was not without its "rocky" moments; but, I can honestly say that I always loved the guy. We had so much fun playing together at his grandmother's house when we were younger. So glad I got to see him at our 50th class reunion. Now I wish I had spent more time talking to him there. But, we never know when our passing will happen. At least he is now with his beautiful wife, Diana. And, he is with his older brother, Jimmy Jr. Like all of you (I am sure), I honestly hate hearing of our class members passing away. Each one leaves an empty spot in my heart. I love all of you more each year.
Place: Melissa, TX USA Comments: Sorry to hear of Richard Phillips' passing....RIP... Ada, I know how you feel about the picture of your pre/post surgery. I have a backwards "Z" on my scalp, and I cannot do anything but wash and dry my hair. Talk about scary!! Needless to say I've been faced with improvising! I'm looking at November or December before this thing is completely healed...ugh!! I hope you continue to improve daily as well as everyone going through this ordeal. Now, Bruce is facing the same problem. One basal cell and one pre-cancerous procedure in the rear-view mirror and he's now facing two squamous cell carcinoma extractions this month. Bruce thinks I am an expert at applying bandages!
Place: KC, MO Comments: What sad news. I am SO GLAD that many of us were able to visit with Richard in September. James, if you have a chance to do so, please pass along my condolences to Richard's family. Much love to all - Carol
