Karen MD - Don't worry about us, just take care of yourself and your hurting heart.  We are always here for you and our other SOC Friends in the good times and the bad. To share in the joys of life and to help carry the load in the sad times.

Remember about 12-13 years ago, a couple of years before our 40th, when the committee was selling the cute little SOC Beanie Bears.  The words we had embroidered on him were, "SOC Friends are the Best".  It still holds true today.  I look at the little bear every day in my office and think of all the great people we are surrounded by.

It is good to hear from you and will keep you in my prayers for strength and healing.  Love to you & Mike.

Dear Friends,
SOC friends are the best! Forgive me for not posting earlier but the whole world kinda ended for me on Saturday. I appreciate all of you for your sweet words on Facebook and here on the Guestbook. I'm sorry to say that I was about a month behind on the GB when all of this happened. And now that I have caught up today, I am saddened to learn of the other losses of SOC alumni, not to mention the many painful and stressful surgeries and such. My blessings to all of you who have suffered through all these setbacks. And congrats to Sally's daughter's boyfriend for his success and prestigious award. I know I am forgetting some but if you think my brain was foggy before, it's barely  operating now. I just wanted to say that I love you all and deeply appreciate all your kind words and especially the prayers.

Life is so short....we just don't know what curve will be thrown at us.  My heart breaks for Karen, I just can't imagine what this is like for her.
Sally, the poetry reading sounds great.  Let me know if he hits NH.
     Love to all of you

I agree with Toni, we have so much tragedy and sadness each day (especially as we get older) that we need to be able to laugh at the good things in life and the little mishaps too.  Thank God for funny people like Richard, Ada Ann. Smiley and others that can find a small piece of humor to lighten the load.

OK, I admit it.  When I read Ada Ann's post about ORROZ I fell out laughing, but I wasn't about to admit how funny it was for fear of hurting my friend's feelings.  Nice to know it made her laugh as well.  I was expecting a wise crack from Smiley, but guess he's off tending the cows.

So saddened to learn about Karen Melton Davis' son's fatal accident.  Karen, Mike and family please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

On a lighter note, Sally sending congratulations to Eleni's boyfriend, Keegan!  What an accomplishment.

Ada, glad to know that our senses of humor have not been altered......ORROZ.....that's funny!  That's the first thing that I have laughed about during this entire situation.  Thank you, sweet friend...
