Place: Lazy S Ranch Comments: When planning a reunion was quite handy
Place: Dallas Comments: It's time for us to have some fun. Please continue this. "There once was a gal named Sandy......"
Place: Cypress Springs Lake Comments: No Sam ...it was Dr. Moen. I know Dr Burkhart but he is not one of my Drs. Dr Schubert is my knee Dr there. No bedside manner but a really great Dr. He is a no nonsense Dr. When he checked my knee after knee replacement I was not straightening and bending it as much as he wanted...he told me if, on my next visit it was not better he would knock me out and straighten it for me. Needless to say it was perfect the next visit. lol
Place: Dallas Comments: Shortcake, Was your surgeon Dr. Burkhead? I scheduled a total shoulder replacement with him last year and he was unable to do the operation since the anesthesiologist, his superior, and the trauma surgeon on duty at Presbyterian Dallas were all three unsuccessful in trying to Intubate me. None of them had ever had experience in Intubating a person with Ankylosing Spondylitis. I really like Dr. Burkhead though. I see him every ninety days for a series of shots in my shoulder.
Place: Richardson Comments: No Sally, I have read or heard of that book. My reading consists of the entire paper every morning while I drink my coffee and scrolling thru recipes and then the grocery store ads. We do have some avid readers in the group, maybe one of them have read it. Glad to hear from you and hope you are enjoying retirement!!
Place: NYC Comments: Good Morning! Has anyone read the book Dumplin by Julie Mruphy? I am reading it now. About a big girl in a small town TX high school. My friend says I am a "generous" reader but I can afford to be generous since I get most of my books from the NY public library. Anyway, I am only half way through the book but enjoying it. Just wondering.
Place: Soggy Richardson Comments: Congratulations Shortcake on being set free and not having to return to Dr about your shoulder. Hope you are well and onery as ever! Good luck on your roof and the final move to your new digs in the Hill Country.
Place: Cypress Springs Lake Comments: I know what you mean Sandy....we have been trying to get a new roof put on the lakehouse for a week and it will not stay dry long enough! Bobby went to our storage place today and could not get out of it because it was raining so hard. Ready for some sunshine for a few days. I graduated from the Carroll Clinic today!!! lol. Had my six week check-up for my shoulder and he said I looked fantastic. I told him enough about me what about my shoulder! Anyway he said it looked great and I did not have to come back unless I have problems.
Place: Richardson Comments: Don got back home about 8:45am as the Ride was canceled. Roads too wet and some underwater. It has finally stopped raining here but the radar shows another wave coming from the west at about Weatherford. Enough already!
Place: Richardson Comments: It's been raining here since early this morning, about 4 am. Hope it stops soon as my flowers have had enough water! Don left early for the Mesquite Bike Ride and was meeting my brother there. I hope it quits so they can get the ride in, if not he'll be back home soon very disappointed. Tomorrow is our Gauer Family Reunion in Moshiem, TX. Don't worry if you've never heard of it, it's a spot in the road! It's about 30 minutes SW of Waco. They have a nice little community center and it's close for all the relatives in the area. We're the outsiders coming in from Dallas! Will be making my dishes later today for tomorrows noon buffet.
Place: KC, MO Comments: Sandy - Only on days whose names end with Y! Love to all - Carol
Place: Richardson Comments: Today (6-2) is National Donut Day . . . who knew?! I had Don put on another pot of coffee while I went to the local donut shop. Apple fritters and coffee on the patio. Yum! Yum! I never eat donuts, but this was a special occasion.
Place: Richardson Comments: Went to Adam's Memorial Service today and it was beautiful. Karen & Mike did such a good job on putting it together and in the words they spoke and stories they told about Adam. Saw several SOCites there and Susan Sunde, Janice Scallorn and I ate lunch together. Stay strong Karen, we're still sending you love and prayers.
Place: Sachse Comments: Thank you so much Sandy. I definitely made a typo on that address. I'm so glad that you caught that. Thanks again.
Place: Richardson - Address Alert for Adam's memorial! Comments: Folks I don't live far from the church where the memorial services will be held for KMD's son, Adam. I know the area well, so please note, if you plan to go to the memorial services you need to be aware of correct address. KMD accidentialy typed 2400 E. Renner here on the GB instead of 3400 E. Renner. The church is at 3400 E. Renner Rd between Shiloh and Telecom Pkwy. It is correct on her FB post. I know everyone is not on FB, so please take note of this new info here on our GB. |
