Just got home from Richard Phillips' memorial service. It was very nice and touching. Was good to visit again with his sister, Diana Phillips.

What a lovely tribute for Ronnie, they all looked so happy. I know he will be missed by those who knew him and his family. Whoever put together the video did an excellent job.

Carol, glad that your cataract surgery went well.  I have them starting, but not ready to be removed yet.  Sally, I will have to look for the SPF lip balm.  I will have the packing on my forehead removed this afternoon.  It has been nice because the eyebrow on that side is covered, so I don't have to try to match eyebrows!  Joe has been washing my hair and he says that it is like washing a baby's head.....I guess it is getting thinner and thinner up there!  Toni, hope you are healing.....we can now call you ORROZ.....for the backwards Z!  RIP Richard.

I am so sad to hear that Richard Phillips has passed away. I noticed something about that on Face Book. I looked at it again a few minutes ago, and his son had written that Richard died. Don't know any details.
Richard and I had been friends since we were 4 years old. Our friendship was not without its "rocky" moments; but, I can honestly say that I always loved the guy. We had so much fun playing together at his grandmother's house when we were younger.
So glad I got to see him at our 50th class reunion. Now I wish I had spent more time talking to him there. But, we never know when our passing will happen. At least he is now with his beautiful wife, Diana. And, he is with his older brother, Jimmy Jr.
Like all of you (I am sure), I honestly hate hearing of our class members passing away. Each one leaves an empty spot in my heart.
I love all of you more each year.

Sorry to hear of Richard Phillips' passing....RIP...

Ada, I know how you feel about the picture of your pre/post surgery.  I have a backwards "Z" on my scalp, and I cannot do anything but wash and dry my hair.  Talk about scary!!  Needless to say I've been faced with improvising!  I'm looking at November or December before this thing is completely healed...ugh!!  I hope you continue to improve daily as well as everyone going through this ordeal.

Now, Bruce is facing the same problem.  One basal cell and one pre-cancerous procedure in the rear-view mirror and he's now facing two squamous cell carcinoma extractions this month.  Bruce thinks I am an expert at applying bandages!

What sad news.  I am SO GLAD that many of us were able to visit with Richard in September.  James, if you have a chance to do so, please pass along my condolences to Richard's family.

Much love to all - Carol

You got it Carol, I'll do my best to copy it and attach to your email.  But for right now, just know, the reunion is Sept. 22 & 23, 2017.  It's at the Double Tree on Hwy 75 @ Campbell.  If it sounds familiar, it is.  We had our 45th there and it's caddy corner across the street from the Hyatt Richardson where we have had the last several minis, which you attended last time.

It starts at 7:00pm Friday, 9-22, with a Taco Bar in the Lounge and a Cash Bar for drinks.
On Saturday, 9-23, it's in the Ballroom 6 to 7pm is Cocktails with a Cash Bar.
At 7:00pm Dinner, Program, Dancing wit Cash Bar.

The hotel reservation # is 972-644-4000 ask for the SOC '67 group rate.

Keep in mind, I'm simply repeating what was shown.  But I did see on thier GB that the discount room rate was $109 per night and that doesn't include all the taxes.  I thought it was high for a group rate!?  Makes you feel even better about our $85 rate!  Although it did say it too included breakfast.

So, Sandy and Ada Ann and all, don't forget the lip balm with spf!!  Oh, and my MOHS surgeon was a women.  She had sensitivity to our concerns -whatever the age.  She put that stitch in just so my lip would be the proper shape.  Gotta love her but then she went off and got a job somewhere else, probably out of NYC.  Maybe somewhere the weather is perfect all year round!
 Happy Spring!

Hi Carol, glad your eye is doing well.  I can send you what ever you need regarding the '67 reunion.

Are you already signed up or do you need a registration form?  Do you want the cover page that gives the date time, place, etc?  Can I send it to your email or do you want it mailed?  Let me know, I'll do it as soon as you tell me what you need.  Looking forward to seeing you and lots of other 66ers at the '67 reunion!  I know some of us '66ers married people from '67!!  So far, I know The Smith's are coming as well as Charles Moss, myself and of course, Carol.
