Place: Fall Mini Today!

Comments:
Quick reminder - - - our Fall Mini Get-Together is today from 2 to 6 pm. It's at the Holiday Inn on Central Expy. just 1 block south of Campbell. I couldn't get the Hyatt as they had a huge wedding & reception today. But the Holiday Inn has been completely remodeled and the bar is now up front on the left as you walk in the front door. Hope to see lots of you today!!

I saw Charles this morning. He was getting ready to go home. Charles went to the hospital because he had seizures. They ran a series of tests with about 12 or so wires on and around his head. The doctors started him on medication to help prevent future seizures. He covets your prayers . Sandy told him we will raise a glass tomorrow for him and all other Socites who are ailing and have passed.

Charles Moss is at the William Clements Hospital in room 1223. It's about 10 minutes from my apartment. I'm going tomorrow to visit him and will keep you posted.

Cold here this morning, 45 degrees!Fall has arrived.

You read my mind Richard. Yes, we will raise a glass and take a bit to remember to great guys from our class . . . David Walker & Deryl Litchford! I saw where Carol is having a Celebration for Deryl at the Gas Monkey Restaurant & Bar from 4-7pm on Sat. I know they're having a bunch of bands out there that afternoon as well. But all of us at the SOC Mini will certainly remember Deryl & David and try not to be sad. But it's hard sometimes.

I really am looking forward to seeing a bunch of you on Saturday at the Mini. I'm going to bring some "snacks" & hope the hotel doesn't mind.

Gotta have some salt, crunch & a few sweet items!!

That would be the ones. On another topic; the mini this weekend. As you know by now it will conflict with the memorial for Deryl Litchford. Clearly, it's difficult to plan anything around these events...sadly. My schedule precludes me from attending as well....by no more than about a week. So, I'd ask this. At the mini, you folks raise a glass to the most recent losses in our class; don't get depressed about it, just toast their lives. At about the same time, I'll be doing the same here in SOCAL. Just a thought.

Yes Richard, our dtr, Stephanie, always found unique ways to photo the triplets. I found their 1st Christmas when they had just been home from NICU about a week. Here's the photos!

Thanks Linda! The color didn't come out very good but I took it from FB. I'll be getting a nice big pic of it soon printed from the original. Yes, it is hard to absorb that our little preemie babies are now almost grown!! I bet Rick is thinking the same thing as his 2 sets of twins were born at the same time.

Sure hope to see you at the Mini Linda. Also David (Doc), Rick, KMD, the Nichols, Hawkins, Fugates, Eve, Martins, Susan, McKees, Smiths, Fuentes, McGees, Brownings, and goodness knows our friend Charles! And anybody else who wants to see old friends such as Carol C and Paul S who are driving from out-of-state to see everyone. There are many more whom I hope will make it but now my brain is tired and I can't remember the names!

I'm sure I can guess "whose" b-day party you're attending! Ours just had their 13th last Thursday!
Maybe a little before or a little after the party you can make an appearance at the Mini. Would love to see you also!!

Gary D called last night, Charles Moss is in the hospital and not doing real well. We all know Charles never wants anyone to feel sorry for him and he doesn't say when things are bad. But Gary & I want all his friends to pray for him. He needs prayer and that's what friends do. Please pray for Charles to get better.

Linda I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend. Seems we're all experiencing a lot of that recently. We all need to re-enforce our friendship and make a point to see each other and give support to others who are suffering. Everyone - Please make the effort to be at the Mini this Saturday - - I would really enjoy seeing you!!

I learned this evening of the passing of Don Darnell, a classmate from Oliver W. Holmes & JNB,and his family attended Cedar Crest Baptist Church. I believe he attended Kimball HS.

There is more information on OWH site on Facebook about a memorial. There was no further info at the time regarding health issues/cause of death.

Well hello Rick! Hop[e you're planning to tour our Mini next Saturday? Haven't seen you in awhile and would love to see you at the Mini.

Yeah, Shortcake, Bobby & her sis & bro-n-law are touring Canada. It's a long trip and they won't even be back by the Mini.
