Place: Allen, TX Comments: Merry Christmas to you, too, Paul, and all of our SOC friends.
Place: Edmond OK Comments: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year SOCites. Wishing you all the most Blessed Christmas EVER.
Place: Calm & Peaceful in Richardson Comments: It's calm & quiet outside. I'm about to retire and watch another Hallmark Christmas movie. To all my SOC Friends whom I cherish so much . . . Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
Place: Sachse Comments: Happy Birthday to the "twins". Hope this is a great "day" for y'all. And a very Merry Christmas to all. Blessing to this group and their families!
Place: Richardson Comments: Yes, Jerry and I were born in the same hospital, same day and at approximately the same time. Thus the twin reference. Happy birthday Jerry and wishing you & your family a safe and joyous Christmas day and a Healthy and Prosperous New Year. I'm feeling better this afternoon, antibiotics kicking in, and hopefully by tomorrow I'll feel much better. Thanks for the b-day wishes both here and on FB. From our home to yours - Don & I wish each of you a Merry Christmas!!
Place: KC, MO Comments: Happy Birthday, Jerry--and Merry Christmas to you and Joyce and your family! Merry Christmas, Everyone!
Place: Calif. Comments: Well, Happy Birthday to SNL, and it sounds like Jerry T. as well, if I'm understanding the twin reference. And Merry Christmas to all.
Place: Richmond Comments: I do not get around to posting much anymore. It seems that I am always scurrying around to stay caught up. I just want to be the first on the guest book to wish my twin(SNL) a Happy Birthday or I call it Happy Anniversary(I started a few years ago to celebrate anniversaries of my 40th birthday). Regardless, I know that all the SOCites that visit this website will echo their appreciation to her for all the work she has done over the years in affording us a place to keep up with old friends. Also, since I do not get around to it very often, Happy Birthdays to all I have missed and a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.
Place: 70th B-day Party Update Comments: OK, the negotiations slowed for 2-weeks as Hospitality Mgr. (Jenny) got real busy and then out sick. But I'm back on track with her. Jenny and I met, then she sent me a contract proposal. I was disappointed in rate for hotel, $99. I think it's too high! Also a few other points in need of "negotiations". I got the rate down to $89 and I think we're getting close to being in agreement on the other points. I will sign the contract and pay a $500 deposit, either next week, or right after New Year's Day. Once contract is signed I can post the details and give out the number to make room reservations. There will not be any invitations mailed, you will need to go into our site and go to the EVENTS page to download & print your registration form as soon as it's posted. Gotta sign contract 1st. Wishing you Peace, Joy and Family for Christmas. Merry Christmas SOCites!!
Place: Richardson Comments: Always interesting to see how different people from different classes have a connection or know someone others don't. Thanks Ada Ann!
Place: NH Comments: John had a twin sister named Jean. I think that they were both cheerleaders at OWHolmes. They also had a young sister, Jayne, class of '67.
Place: Sachse Comments: Did you pick that lot because of the street name??
Place: Kerrville Comments: Several people have texted me about our new address. It is 2887 Goat Creek Rd #231 Kerrville, Tx. 78028 If you are in the area....give us a call. Number is still the same at this time,
Place: Richardson Comments: Thank you Steve for the info on one of our SOCites. You are always welcome here. I've noticed too that it appears only '63 and '66 have working sites and GB. I believe '67 established one earlier this yer for their 50th reunion. I do know the name John Dubiski & what an interesting fact about one of our SOCites. Definitely something to be proud of.
Place: Waxahachie Comments: Since the classes of 64 and 65 no longer have sites I just felt compelled to jump on your site and tell you about a 1965 SOC grad and friend of mine. If you live anywhere near the DFW metroplex one day you may be driving on Hwy 161 toward the airport from I20. There is a nice 4 story building called the Dubiski Career School. Take a long look at it and remember my friend and the person for whom the school is named John Dubiski. He was a great guy. Just a regular guy. Not an athlete. I don't think he was a band member or excelled in any extra curricular activities. Just a student and a good friend. Became a teacher and was such an encouragement to students who struggled in the Grand Prairie ISD. John died in 2007. He would be proud of the school as we SOCites should be as well. |
