It was 15 here this morning, better than the 10 they predicted. Now a warm up is on its way. Yea!!! Tonight 32 and then a warm up that has Sat & Sun in upper 60s and even low 70s.

I spoke with Marvin Mullins today. All ramps on I-45 in Houston are closed due to the weather. He said he's never seen it this bad in the 30 years he's been down there.

I updated the info on our Events page regarding our upcoming 70th B-day Party in Sept. I signed the contract last week so we are locked-in for date, time, price, etc.

Wow, 23 degrees this morning at 6:15! Geez Louise! Mother Nature has been playing tricks this winter. First she lulled us into thinking it was still spring with warm weather and causing all the plants bloom again. Then, one week before Christmas it hits us like a ton of bricks! It's been so cold and windy for so long. I just want sunshine!

Stay warm and safe and don't forget about your pets, they need to be inside as well.

Happy New Year - hope everyone had a fantastic - and safe New Years Eve. We had a party here where we live. Linda and Jim came in and stayed several days - really enjoyed that. Our grandson came in to see the new coach and casita. Always enjoy his visits. He still calls his grandfather just about every night!

The freezing weather has given me my first cold of the year!!! Really hate that.

Happy New Year everyone!! Winter finally arrived and with a vengeance! 17degrees this morning at 7am. The kids arrived late Wed and Don is on his way now to return them to Mom!

We went to Pinstack, Nickle Rama, the beautiful walk-thru light display at Lone Star Park and our NYE tradition of eating at Cheddar's and then a movie. Also some cards games and poker. Of course a morning of opening gifts and then the rest of the day putting them together! Who knew it would take 5 people to put together a Shopkins drive-thru Diner?? LOL

Great time and fun with the G-kids. It's eerily quiet around here now, I miss them already!
