Place: California Comments: Right now, I'd say a "soft" yes for the party. Business-wise, it works out well for me which is usually my only consideration(s). I'll confirm one way or the other in a bit.
Place: Richardson Comments: Richard - Your guess is as good as mine. The last time I saw or spoke with him was the Sunday morning after our 50th. Everyone was in the foyer checking out & telling each other bye and I said goodbye to he & Kathy. He seems to have gone silent. Do you have any plans to make our 70 B-day Party?
Place: California Comments: SNL...what happened to JD. He doesn't write, doesn't call......no party invitation. Just quiet. Any thoughts? I've been known to dine with him and his bride in Phoenix in a "roof top" steak house.

Place: Allen, Texas Comments: Sammy, so sorry to hear that your sweet wife, Sarah, has been so ill. She is a special lady. Connie and I love her (and you, too) very much. So glad she is now recovering. You are such a loving husband, so I know she is in good hands with you around. Give her my love (Connie's, too). Hope she is strong enough to come to our upcoming mini. But, if not, we completely understand and she will be missed. Please keep us informed about her recovery. Love you both.
Place: Allen, TX Comments: Sandy, I have run into an old friend from our sophomore year who was on the sophomore football team. He and I had a class together (cannot remember which class) and were friends in that class. He moved to Richardson his junior year and graduated from Richardson High School. He hated RHS and loved SOC. I told him about our March 17th mini reunion. And, he wants to come and bring his wife. Some people may remember him. His name is David Thomas. His wife is named Dianna. Just thought I would let you know that I invited him and he is beyond excited to come and see who all he remembers and who remembers him. His picture is in our sophomore yearbook. He lives in Sanger. He and his wife will most likely drive to our house and we will bring him. Is always great to see class members who moved away but come back because they are still SOCites in their hearts.
Place: North Richland Hills, TX Comments: Sam, so glad to hear Sarah is on the mend. Ada, we finally get to meet Joe! Yippee! Sandy, I'll be at the 70th and will send my check and form soon.

Place: Loss of Another Classmate Comments: Larry Simons caught this in the paper last week and sent me a note. I tracked down the obit. Kenneth Holliday from our class passed away last month. Place: Richardson Comments: Sammy - Thank you for the current status on your wife Sarah. I did read about her emergency trip to hospital & Shirley was kind enough to keep me posted on what was happening. So thankful Sarah is coming home today & everything went well. Y'all have definitely had a lot of bad things happen in just a few weeks. I, as well as all your SOC Friends, will continue to pray for Sarah's full recovery. Place: Parkland Hospital Comments: Some of you may know this from our son's posting on Facebook. Sarah was taken to the emergency room at 4:30 a.m. Two days ago.with severe pain on the side of her stomach and internal bleeding. She had surgery Thursday night for a Hiatal Hernia. The surgeon said it went very well and they were able to fix it via laparoscopy and not major surgery. She was moved from ICU yesterday into a regular room. The surgeon came in this morning and said she can go home today. She will be weak and on a restricted soft food diet for 3 weeks. She can return to work in three wekas as well. Thank you for your prayers at this difficult time in our lives. |
