Place: Richardson Comments: This site over the last 14 years has been instrumental in bringing together old friends that have been separated for years and many miles. Had no idea Sally & Paul were friends in typing class! Y'all should chat & catch up on old times.
Place: Edmond OK Comments: I echo Sandy’s “great to hear from you Sally.” And God Bless Texas INDEED!
Place: Richardson Comments: It is always good to hear from my NYC friend, Sally T. Let us know how "In the New World" turns out. I know y'all had a horrible winter that just wouldn't end! Enjoy the spring as it may be short lived. We're going into summer here and it started early, in May! Take care Sally and do stay in touch!
Place: NYC Comments: Hello Everyone, Seems I have not looked at this in months. I had to go back 11 pages to catch up!! I see Paul Scholte was on the Guest Book. We, Lyn ( if my memory is correct) and I had a good time in Typing with Paul. And Paul wins the youngest person in the class award as far as I can tell--by months! I thought it was me but Paul is 7 or 8 months younger! He is still 68! I just started a book called In the New World by Lawrence Wright. It is an older book (20 years old, I think) and it starts with a little history of Dallas. Let's see if it is interesting! I bet you all know about all of the books about Texas but we don't get that much information up here. The only reason I know about this is because his new book , God Save Texas was reviewed by the New York Times and I actually saw that review. Anyway, God Bless Texas! I hear that it is hot down there. Our spring finally started a few weeks ago and will finish in June. But we suffered from a long winter. Funny how these things go! Hope you all have a great summer!
Place: Richardson Comments: How wonderful to have a painting from Ms. Hess . . . what a treasure! I was at the SOC Girls lunch bunch yesterday (all of them are 63, 64 & 65) and I'm the only 66er. Susan Crume Young was married to Chris Stoehr & she sent a notice to one of the girls at our luncheon. Jim Stoehr, his younger brother, was in our class and he died of a massive heart attack a long time ago, it was even before our 40th. On a happier note - - - we have 50 people registered for our 70th B-day Party! C'mon guys, we have room for 75, so let's fill up the room.
Place: Kerrville Comments: Here is an interesting item about Peggy H. In later life Peggy took up painting. Mostly religious paintings - life size. She gave me one of her earlier paintings. It is not life size but pretty big. It is of a little girl -said it kind of looked like me. It is one of my most prized possessions.
Place: Kerrville Comments: I saw on Facebook today that Chris Stohr passed away. 😞 so sad.
Place: Edmond OK Comments: During my junior high years my dad worked for ARAMCO so we lived in Saudi. As to your questions, I imagine I can make up...er...I mean provide lots of answers. 🤥
Place: Richardson Comments: Paul - In your earlier post you said you graduated from a school in Saudi Arabia & y'all's mascot was the Blue Devils. Hmmm, I think there's a whole new side of you we never knew about. I can think of lots of questions.
Place: Dallas for about another 90 minutes Comments: Happy Mothers’ Day to all the lovely ladies of SOCHS
Place: IDUT Comments: Ps I am a proud graduate of the Ras Tanurah Senior Staff School, Ras Tanurah Saudi Arabia. We were the Blue Devils but I am not “going there.”
Place: In Dallas Until Tomorrow Comments: I stand corrected Your Royal Lioness. 🦁😁
Place: Richardson Comments: Carol - That's too funny. Even I didn't think of it. Go Zumwalt Lions! In any event - - y'all get those registrations in, times going fast. Just received registration today from Mario & Barbara Fuentes. Will post it later tonight on the list of who's coming.
Place: KC, MO Comments: Paul - I'm sure that you meant to say "lioness". Sandy is a proud Sarah Zumwalt Junior High alum, after all. "The brown and the gold...." Looking forward to seeing you in September!Love to all - Carol
Place: Edmond OK Comments: Go get ‘em Sandy. It is great to have a tigress going after the procrastinators. RE: Peggy Hess...wow 77...she will always be 29 in my mind. |
