In waiting room at Baylor Scott & White in Ft. Worth. Waiting as Katie's labor is being induced. What a sad day. Baby has no chance of survival.

Folks – I’m about to head out and will be on the road til Sun. afternoon.  But, I wanted to take this opportunity to ask that we all take a few moments on Sun. to express our appreciation for vets' service to our country, and for those of all veterans, past and present, with special prayers for our classmates who made the ultimate sacrifice.  Please fly your flag proudly, if you have one – thank you!

Also, FYI - Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, will mark the 100th anniversary of the end of hostilities during World War I.  On the 11th hour of the 11th day of November 1918, the guns that caused such destruction fell silent, ending what to that time was the most bloody conflict humanity had ever fought.

To mark this solemn occasion, the United States WWI Centennial Commission is calling on Americans across the nation to toll bells at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 in remembrance of those who served during that conflict.  The WWICC has an app that you may download if you do not have access to a bell.

Dale...bad...very very bad...in a good kind of way. 😂. Don, gave to one of Odis’ other charities directly...we may be in Dallas first or second week in Dec if there is enough interest in a GNO

Sandy - I hope you're recovering well from the 2nd eye surgery & glad you got that one behind you - I know you are.

Paul - I like your idea for a guys day (or night) out!  I haven't attended one in years and would be willing to make the trek up that way for it.  Preferably hold it near some place where I can drop-off my keys and not have to drive afterward.

Reminder to all - I've offered to collect for a SOC '66 donation in memory of Odis McLean to the Wounded Warriors Project.  Please see my posts on 10/27 for details and contact me if interested.

Yes Susan, I say RSVPing is a word.  [wink]  But then, I already had you on the list bec you, Janis & Shortcake said you'd be there as soon as I posted the note.  Chocolate Angel has a long big table over on the side, hopefully we can fill it with 10-12 people.

Special Attn:  Girls Luncheon on Dec 8 @ Chocolate Angel in Plano.  It's inside the Antique Mall bldg.  Let's say 11:00am and I'll make the reservation for 11:15.  Anyone who is late should look for us at the table because we'll already be seated.  Carol C. will be in town, so let's have a great meet 'n greet with her!

Yesterday I had surgery to remove cataract on my R. eye.  Yeah, now both eyes are done!  Everything looked good this morning at my follow up visit!

Hey SOC Girls - I've only gotten a response from 3 (Susan, Janice & Shortcake) about attending the Dec. 8th Luncheon.  Of course Carl C. & I will be there.  Let me hear from you by Dec 1 if you plan to attend. It's mandatory that I make RESERVATIONS at Chocolate Angel as it's a Saturday and they will fill up quick.

Please respond here with an RSVP and I will reserves us a table according to the number attending!

Paul-I'm glad you enjoyed the old photos.  I've got more and will post soon.

Tomorrow, 11-1, I'm finally having eye surgery on my R. eye.  Been trying to have that cataract removed every since 5-30!  Last week the Retina Specialist released me to have the surgery.  Yeah!!  So no computer work tomorrow.
