Connie and Ronney, I join with the others to grieve this little life.  God has a plan and maybe someday it will be clear to us.  My prayers are with all of you.

Ronney - I join with our classmates in offering our prayers for you and your family, hoping our words will provide some measure of comfort at such a trying time.  May the Lord wrap his arms around you all.

Ronney & Connie - I'm so sorry that you & your family are having to go thru such pain and grief.  Ask God to help you ( and I will also ask Him) and know you've done all you can, except continue to be there for your dtr & sil.  God be with y'all today to keep you strong.

In waiting room at Baylor Scott & White in Ft. Worth. Waiting as Katie's labor is being induced. What a sad day. Baby has no chance of survival.

Folks – I’m about to head out and will be on the road til Sun. afternoon.  But, I wanted to take this opportunity to ask that we all take a few moments on Sun. to express our appreciation for vets' service to our country, and for those of all veterans, past and present, with special prayers for our classmates who made the ultimate sacrifice.  Please fly your flag proudly, if you have one – thank you!

Also, FYI - Sunday, Nov. 11, 2018, will mark the 100th anniversary of the end of hostilities during World War I.  On the 11th hour of the 11th day of November 1918, the guns that caused such destruction fell silent, ending what to that time was the most bloody conflict humanity had ever fought.

To mark this solemn occasion, the United States WWI Centennial Commission is calling on Americans across the nation to toll bells at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 in remembrance of those who served during that conflict.  The WWICC has an app that you may download if you do not have access to a bell.

So far I've had 5 girls RSVP about attending the Girls Luncheon on Saturday, Dec. 8th.  Kathy A., Susan S., Karen L., Janice S., Ann H., and of course, me and Carol.   I do hope more of you will RSVP to me that you're going to attend.  You can reach me via em: sandylynn@sbcglobal.net or 972-918-0781.
Thanks! I look forward to seeing all of you at the luncheon which is in honor of Carol Carpenter being in town!

Dale...bad...very very bad...in a good kind of way. 😂. Don, gave to one of Odis’ other charities directly...we may be in Dallas first or second week in Dec if there is enough interest in a GNO

Sandy - I hope you're recovering well from the 2nd eye surgery & glad you got that one behind you - I know you are.

Paul - I like your idea for a guys day (or night) out!  I haven't attended one in years and would be willing to make the trek up that way for it.  Preferably hold it near some place where I can drop-off my keys and not have to drive afterward.

Reminder to all - I've offered to collect for a SOC '66 donation in memory of Odis McLean to the Wounded Warriors Project.  Please see my posts on 10/27 for details and contact me if interested.
