Thanks for the tip off Dale!  i called Speedy this afternoon to wish him a Happy B-day.  Ask him how he managed to get the US Postal Serv & the Banks to close for his B-day?  I talked with Myrna first to ask about his condition.  First, he was diagnosed in 2017 with lymphoma. in Feb 2018, after lots of chemo he was cleared & cancer free!  We all helped him celebrate at our Spring Mini!

But in June 2018 he went back for a check up & he was diagnosed with stage 4 bladder cancer.  He's been fighting it and it has affected his kidney functions.  Myrna said he's been thru hell since Dec 18th and in/out of hospital.  But, as of a few days ago . . . he's feeling much better because all the blood, platelets & treatments they gave him has improved his health.  Kidneys are doing good for now.  I then spoke with Speedy & he was his happy go lucky self.  Telling me how grateful they were for all the food his relatives and close neighbors have been bringing over for them.  He can hardly wait until our next Mini.  Love and prayers for our old Lisbon, Zumwalt & SOC friend!  Not to mention, he was our paperboy for a long time back in the day.

I haven’t read the GB comments in a while. Sarah and I have been busy working and then moved to Plano.
Have any of you heard from Speedy?

Thank you Jim Young for reposting the info from FB about Alvin Rogers.  I've not been on FB a lot lately & had no idea he was having this kind of difficulty.  I do hope they get it under control and he will get better soon.  I know dialysis isn't something you "get-over" but I'm worried bec of the pneumonia.  Prayers for Alvin & his family as they work thru this and get him better.

I just copied this from Alvin Rogers wife, Diane Rogers On Facebook.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. On Monday Alvin had a peritoneal catheter put in his abdomen getting ready for home kidney dialysis . He just wasn’t himself today. His blood pressure was over the top so I took him to the ER this evening. Looks like the start of pneumonia and a uti. Bp is down and anti nausea meds are working. They are going to keep him over night. Thank you again❤️🙏

Thank you, I think about him often, have seen too many motorcycle crashes that don’t end well.
