Place: Sunny in Richardson Comments: Today we went to Cardiac Rehab Orientation. What an impressive facility! It's on the first floor of the Baylor Scott & White Heart Hospital where Don had his heart surgery. He starts rehab tomorrow. We're so excited as his Trigeminal episode set him back about 2 1/2 weeks. But it's finally here and things are looking good!
Place: North Richland Hills, TX Comments: They were. There was something on the 5:30 p.m. news about Facebook and Instagram. It's back up now though.
Place: Richardson Comments: I just tried again and nothing but a blank page. FB is definitely having trouble today.
Place: North Richland Hills, TX Comments: Thanks, Sandy. I can get it on my tablet so I'm not sure what to think.
Place: Richardson Comments: Susan, I've had trouble all day. I open FB and only two items come up. I tried twice to make a comment on one of your posts and each time I got an error. I finally gave up and went to the grocery store. I haven't tried again . I do believe FB was having problems today.
Place: North Richland Hills, TX Comments: Well, it has to be my computer because I can open Facebook on my tablet.
Place: North Richland Hills, TX Comments: Has anyone tried to get on Facebook today? When I try to open it, all I get is a blank, white page.
Place: Overland Park, KS Comments: I don't know about the quality of the reproductions that Classmates offers. I did purchase a reproduction from e-yearbooks for my brother David for his birthday last year. He graduated from DeSoto (Kansas) High School in 1958. The reproduction is quite good. Of course all of the notes to the original owner of the book are included, but that doesn't hurt anything, IMHO. SOC '66 mini coming up 1 month from tomorrow! YEA!!! Love to all!
Place: Edmond OK Comments: Classmates.com has been offering these yearbooks for quite a while. Depending on how the replication is accomplished, quality might be suspect. They have offerered them in the past for about $100.
Place: Soggy Richardson Comments: TNX Jack. That's interesting. Hope they do a good job!
Place: 66erville Comments: The website, Classmates, apparently has reproduced the 1966 Den for sale. Not originals. They may have other years too, but the notice I got only spoke of 1966. I thought I remembered someone looking for a Den, so I put the info here.
Place: Richardson Comments: Jack, what do you mean by "reproductions" of our Den?? Who is selling them??
Place: 66ervile Comments: FYI: Classmates is selling reproductions of the SOC 1966 Den.
Place: LV, TX Comments: Sandy - Sorry my message didn't come across the way it was intended. I'm sure your experience of yesterday is still sensitive today. To be clear, however, I also don't expect the Mystics to actually regroup, especially with the sad passing of David, plus the additional info you shared regarding Danny. You touched on what I was actually referring to - the memory of David smiling when he sat down at the keyboard at our 45th, how much they surprised everyone when he announced the Mystics were back, all the fun we had that night, and of course, the music - we have that much at least. For anyone else planning to attend David's military service at DFW cemetery tomorrow at 11:15 a.m., the following was copied from their website: "All funeral processions meet with their family, clergy, and cemetery representative at the Public Information Center (PIC) and then proceed to the designated shelter." Rick Mitchell and I plan to attend. |
