Place: LV, TX Comments: I just rcvd a text from Rick Mitchell, relaying a note from Randy Conine this morning: "He is in Baylor Hospital awaiting a single lung transplant. He said it will be within one or two days. I haven't heard from his wife. I'll let you know." Shortly afterward, another text: "I just talked to Randy and his wife. Both seem very optimistic. Rick" No time to let-up on those prayers, folks - plenty to spread around.
Place: Update on Eileen Comments: Judy replied quickly to me. Below is where Eileen is doing Rehab if you wish to send her cards. Don't know how long she will be there. At least she is now able to speak. See info below for mailing address. Judy said, "She is speaking more clearly. Answering questions. Not starting conversations yet. Becoming more alert every day." Place: Richardson Comments: Ada Ann - go back and read the previous posts here. Go to bottom of the GB & click "Next" & it will show the previous page. I know it's kinda weird to hit Next when yo want to go Back! You'll need to go back 2 -3 pgs to my post of 3-15, the last paragraph talks about Eileen having a stroke. Yes, here address in the 50th reunion directory is correct BUt, she isn't at home. She was in the Denison area visiting with her G-dtr bec G-dtr was about to have a baby & she wanted to attend the baby shower & be there when baby was born. Judy Carpenter was nice enough to contact me and let me know what happened. She was at Texoma Medical with Eileen over the weekend and said they were moving her to a rehab center on Mon or Tue. But the rehab would be there in the same area not at her home. I have not heard back from Judy and don't know what rehab center she is in or anything else.
Place: NH Comments: I, too, missed the update on Eileen. Is there an address for her?
Place: Calif. Comments: SNL, I wouldn't let Robert off that easy.....Florida's closer than Calif. and I've made a number of those events. I was reading an update on Eileen. I guess I'd missed the fact that she's sick. I trust she does well, she's a neat person.
Place: Sachse Comments: Happy Anniversary Ronney & Connie! Sorry to hear about Gary. We were in ROTC together. I think he moved in our junior year. Another one of those nice, quiet guys. RIP Gary.

Place: Sunny Richardson Comments: Robert - So glad to hear from you!! Look at our Events page for the Spring Mini coming up on April 13th. Would love to see you again, it's been too long! On a somber note - I hate to learn of Gary's death. Thank you Don for pursuing the lead and getting us the confirmation that yet a 3rd classmate has passed in barely 6 months. I will update my records today.

Place: LV, TX Comments: While researching e-mail delivery failures for some vets today, I discovered an obituary notice for Gary Fleming. Actually, Gary Nathan Fleming. But was he the same as ours? Then, I found 2 more obits, very similar to the first; the age was right, he was an Army vet, which checked against my vets' roster, but none tied him to SOC. Plus, that middle name wasn't in the '66 Den and he's not listed in the Candidates For Graduation - he should be just before 'William H. Fleming'. In the 3rd obit, however, there was a Guestbook link, which I clicked, and found a post from a cousin who lives in nearby Round Rock. So, I e-mailed him and provided the info I had, including senior photo and military info, and he confirmed they were the same: "From: Bill Fleming <bffleming@sbcglobal.net> Don... Yes, Gary was my cousin and he passed this past Nov. He’s the same person in your photo, went He had a lengthy illness prior to his death and is buried in Brigham Cemetery near I didn’t attend SOC. I was Waxahachie ‘69 and UT Arlington ‘74. Will retire from UT Austin next All the best."
Place: LV, TX Comments: Many thanks to Judy Harris for visiting Eileen and updating Sandy on her condition. I include my prayers for Eileen's recovery from the effects of this stroke and continued improvements in her health, so she can rejoin her family soon.

Maybe they'll mix up some ghost pepper salsa to help beef-up your stem cells.
