Place: Paradiise Comments: Thank You Don. We've actually been married 49 years. Got married March 26,1970. Doesn't feel that long, where has the time gone ![]()
Place: LV, TX Comments: BELATED H a p p y 40th A n n i v e r s a r y to Cathy (Wood) & Fred Nickols (class of ’65), married on March 26, 1979!
Place: Richardson Comments: I suggest each person that would like to help Eileen & her dtr Valerie make it thru this bad health crisis, send a check made out to Valerie & mail it directly to Valerie's address below. Enclose the check in a card with encouraging sentiments for Eileen & Valerie. Hey Richard Carter, why don't you bring a card & we can all sign it at the Mini & I'll even stamp & mail it so it goes out Monday morning! I also know there is a Go Fund Me account on FB for Eileen & Valerie. But whatever you choose to do, donations are a personal decision as to who/what causes you donate, I just want to make sure everyone knows about it. REMEMBER: Spring Mini, April 13 @ Hyatt Hotel 75 & Campbell. Valerie Maxfield, 609 W. Chestnut St., Denison, TX 75020. This is Eileen's dtr & where she will be staying.
Place: Eileen Sandefer Harvey Update Comments: I've gotten some new info about Eileen. Apparently stroke was pretty bad, she is still having difficulty speaking. However she has been learning to use a walker and is doing better on it. Not out of hospital yet, but may go to rehab any day now. However, that's where the problem starts. Eileen will need 24/7 care when she gets out of the rehab. She will have to go to her daughter's home so someone can take care of her. Her dtr is also about to become a grandma any day now (Eileen will be a great G-ma) and has other children. There's no good way to say this, so please, don't get mad but . . . they are so poor. They don't have any money. On FB they have a Go Fund Me Acct to raise money so she can hire some help to take care of Eileen for a few hours each day. I know some don't like to give to a Go Fund Me so I'm giving you a chance to help by directly sending a check to Valerie in order to help Eileen & her get by. Here's the direct name & mailing address if you wish to donate to them. God bless them, as this is going to be a long road. Valerie Maxfield, 609 W. Chestnut St., Denison, TX 75020. Also, cards would be nice as well. Eileen will be living with her dtr until she is able to fully recover from the stroke.

Place: LV, TX Comments: H a p p y B i r t h d a y wishes go out to John Southworth, most senior citizen & occasional guest book visitor from class of ‘63, today! John, If you're lurking out there, we hope you're having a great day of male spoilage, being waited on hand & foot – or at least, not having to walk very far to wait on yourself, in case Dru missed her cue. Very best wishes & many happy returns!
Place: LV, TX Comments: I also checked in on Charles Moss last week, since he had a pretty serious health scare & hospital stay not long ago. Also wanted to make sure he got the word about the mini, and he replied: "Plans now are to be there. Hope we have a good turnout."
Place: Richardson Comments: I talked with Speedy for awhile today and he said he got news last week that his cancer is shrinking. He was very excited for the good news! He said he will be at the Mini as long as his chemo doesn't take him down too much. My prayers are for Randy in the hospital waiting for a lung transplant, Paul fighting off cancer, Eileen recovering from a stroke and Speedy also fighting cancer. Lets all make a big effort to make it to the Mini on April 13th!!!
Place: Richardson Comments: Yes, our class is going through a very rough time. With the loss of Odis McLean, Gary Fleming and David Mitchell in less than 6 months and now Randy Conine is in hospital awaiting a lung transplant, Eileen Sandefer has had a stroke, Paul Scholte is battling cancer and Speedy Harrison is also battling cancer . . . we need to make every effort to see each other at our semi annual Minis. I hate to sound like a broke record but, please come to the Mini on April 13th because you never know when it will be your last chance to see an old! ![]() April 13, 2019 @ Hyatt Hotel 2:00 to 6:00pm in the bar area. Located in the NE corner of Hwy 75 & Campbell Rd. It's FREE and the fun and laughter are included!
Place: The Woodlands, TX Comments: Been awhile since I last popped in here. In the waning hours of my 73rd year it feels eerie to read about Eileen Sandefer and her current challenge. Seems like only yesterday that she was that skinny girl with long blonde hair that lived four doors down on Calcutta Drive. Eileen, get better soon.
Place: Melissa TX Comments: Thanks for the updates Sandy. Prayers for Randy and Eileen. Heck, prayers for all of us!
Place: Edmond Ok Comments: I ask everyone that can reasonably make it, come to the Spring Mini. With all our class is going through it would really br nice to have a strong turnout. One thing I learned being away from you all for so long, it is EXCELLENT to go home again. Looking forward to seeing a lot of folks. Paul
Place: LV, TX Comments: H a p p y 51st A n n i v e r s a r y to Rick & Marilyn Watts, married on this date in 1968 at the Saner Ave. Church of Christ, a block down from the Saner gym, Dallas, TX.
Place: LV, TX Comments: I have really fallen behind this week, despite the Outlook reminders! H a p p y BELATED B i r t h d a y wishes go out to Gordy Johnson for 3/18!
Place: Richardson Comments: I've been out doing errands and the grocery store. Walked in & Don said to call Rick Mitchell regarding Randy Conine. Randy is in Baylor awaiting a single lung transplant, obviously, his lungs have gotten progressively worse. Rick has spoken with both Randy's wife & Randy and was asked to let me know because he wanted y'all to know his situation and for us to keep the prayers coming. Thank you to Don L. for posting when he got the info. Prayers for Randy & Eileen and of course, Paul! |
