Place: Soggy in Richardson Comments: Wanted to let the class know we have been made aware of another classmates passing. Sandra Kay Hurley Vines passed on July 18, 2022. Charlotte Hilburn gave me the info a few days ago. There wasn't much of an obit, just a few sentences, I put the link here but it kept causing problems. I have reposted the info & photo as of 5-7 so it will be easier for everyone to see without a link. Thank you Charlotte!
Place: Carthage, Texas Comments: Hello to all and hope everyone is doing well We have our Anniversary (52) that weekend and will not be able to make the Mini. Also, Larry we can identify with you on the Grands. Our first Grandaughter Remi was 2 years old on Feb 9 of this year and she has a little sister due August 28th. Talked to Charlie Moss last week and he is making progress but has a ways to go. He has gone through a good bit and is still very positive. He Loves to have phone calls. Y'all have a great time and hope to make the Fall one.
Place: Richardaon Comments: Congratulations Larry on having two G-kids! And because they are barely 4 months apart they will grow up being great cousin friends and playmates. Looking forward to seeing you at the Mini.
Place: Denton Comments: I hope to attend the mini this May. Look forward to seeing all. Thinking of Charles and hope he is doing better. Charles used to live a few houses down from me when I was at SOC. On the bright side, on April 6 at 1.23 in morning my sons wife had a Baby boy: my first grandson, to go with with my granddaughter who was born 12/26/23.
Place: Richardson Comments: Shortcake, I forgot, you're going to be cruising the high seas on May 4th. When you cross into May 5th, have a margarita and celebrate Cinco de Mayo! Have fun!
Place: Richardson Comments: Janice, hate y'all can't make it but sometimes those calendars sneak up on us. See ya next time!Karen, glad the home is finished and y'all are here! Welcome home!!! Hope to see you at the mini on May 4th at the Hilton.
Place: McKinney, Texas Comments: As of 1:00 today we became home owners in McKinney. With Bobby’s macular degeneration he has problems driving and especially does not drive at night. So we are selling the casita and coach and moving back to all of this horrible traffic. A traffic jam in Kerrville was four cars and would prompt us to call and tell whoever we were meeting we would be late. So anyway - here we are.
Place: Waller Comments: Sandi, Carol, and all, Regret, Randall and I started looking at our calendars for the next 2 wks and regret we will not be available to be in Dallas for the Mini on 5/4. Janice and Randall
Place: Waller Comments: SNL, Sandi, Yes Randall and I will attend on May 4th!! Prayers and those who are in need of healing. Love to all! Janice and Randall Sims

Place: Richardson Comments: Yes that's true and I'm very concerned due to Jimmy's Parkinson. But yesterday Sandi said they were moving him to a care center. Hopefully he will be able to completely recover from the Covid there. Yes,they do need prayers as this is a serious situation. 🙏
Place: Kerrville Comments: I just saw on Facebook that Jimmy and Sandy Hodnett both have Covid. Sandi had to call 911 because Jimmy was unresponsive. He is in the hospital but she said they wanted to release him but she cannot take care of him right now. Thoughts and prayers for them.
Place: Richardson Comments: Hope everyone had time to reflect and enjoy Easter. I spent the day with my brother & his wife and my nephew. We had dinner and good conversation. Got home and received text from my two G-sons (two-thirds of the triplets) and they were on their way back to school in Fayetteville, AR. and can they stop by to visit. Heck yeah!! Just made my day! Still hard to believe the triplets are about to complete their 1st year in college!!??
Place: Richardson Comments: Happy Easter weekend to my SOC '66 family. Hope all my SOCite friends are well and may God bless all of you with a joyful and safe Easter.
Place: Richardson Comments: I spoke with Charles today, 3-25. He didn't get out of the hospital until late Friday. They have Home Health Care and PT people coming out to help him with new medications and how to handle new Equipment he was sent home with. Charles wanted to thank everyone who prayed for him as he believes yours prayers are what brought him through it all. He said this was the worst hospital stay yet! So glad to be home and will try to get better at home with new stuff because at the hospital he wasn't getting the best of care and it was difficult. Thank you for your prayers but please try to continue because he's still got fluid in his lungs. He did say that he loved the cards he received and in a few days he would welcome calls again. |
