Place: Richardson Comments: I got all the photos posted this afternoon. I did a large one of the group photos! thanks to everyone who was able to make to the Mini. Great seeing you and look forward to it again in the Fall. Go to our Home page & run your cursor across the Our Photos tab & then click on Mini Get-Togethers to see all the pics.
Place: Sun is shinning in Richardson Comments: It's a bit chilly with the N wind but it's NOT raining! I really enjoyed yesterday & so did Don. Lots of good folks to visit with. I have some photo sand I'll post a few on FB but all of them here on our site under Our Photos & then click on Mini Get-Togethers. Right now we're getting dressed and trying to figure out how to drive to the downtown Omni Hotel to pick our dtr & G-dtr for a late breakfast. G-dtr playing in volleyball tournament yesterday & today. Man, thank goodness for Google maps!! LOL Dls has too many one-way streets! Later . . .
Place: Temp:Keller Comments: What a GREAT time. Thanks to Sandy for putting it together and to all who braved the nasty weather. These times are truly special and so are all of you,
Place: North Richland Hills, TX Comments: Sandy, it rained on me all the way home! Traffic wasn't too bad, though. Everyone seemed to have a super time at the mini and later at dinner!
Place: Not raining any more in Richardson Comments: Despite the continuous downpour of rain most of the day, we had people from all over show up at the Mini. They drove in thru lots of water from KS, Edmond OK, Waller, Paradise, N. Richland Hills, Austin, Arlington, Mansfields, Frost and all over the metroplex. We had 32 and 26 of us went to dinner at El Fenix! It was a good afternoon & dinner. I did get photos and will post tomorrow. Thanks to each one of you for coming today, it was a fun time and it made me feel good. Place: Galveston Comments: I hope everyone has a great time at the mini today. Mike is a little down in his back after completing putting in stone tree rings in the back and side yards so not up to the 5 hour trip each way. I was able to attend a “business meeting” of the ladies club I am part of here in Jamaica Beach this morning since we weren’t able to come there. Miss our dear friends from SOC and sorry we can’t make this one. You are most welcome to visit here in sunny Galveston. 😘
Place: Allen, Texas Comments: Toni, all of the rain in Melissa should bring the snakes right to your door step! They are SO adorable. If it rattles, it is double happy to see you.
Place: Richardson Comments: Thanks Paul & Toni. I'm watching the current radar map constantly & it does look like that final orange/yellow cell is moving out of Richardson area. But boy has the temp dropped, it's cooler and of course very damp! I'm glad y'all are in Keller and it should be OK soon. It looks like west of us in western dallas county & Denton got it pretty bad. It's actually getting calmer here now, think the worst is over and just some rainy crap now.
Place: Temp: Keller Comments: We are with friends in Keller. It be a deluge but we shall be there, maybe a few minutes late but in time for the picture.
Place: Melissa TX USA Comments: Sandy, the bad weather has not gone away here in Melissa. It's raining sideways! The rain is going uphill and rolling downhill on our street! We are not getting out in this bad weather as they weather app is showing more really bad weather to come. To those who are going to the mini, we hope you have a great time. Be careful and looking forward to seeing some great pictures.
Place: Thunder Lightning & Rain Comments: For those driving in today . . . drive carefully. But the good news is that it's moving north NE pretty quick & by 12:30 or so it will be outta Dallas/Richardson area. Please come to our Mini today at 2:00pm, Hyatt Hotel on the NE corner of Campbell RD & Hwy 75 in Richardson 75081. I want to take a group photo of everyone who attends at about 3pm. We've got folks coming that don' feel good and some are fighting big health issues, so let's be sensitive to those who aren't able to get around be sure to stop by their table and around the room to visit with everybody. This is a close knit group and we all have each others backs. So come relax & enjoy the afternoon. At 5:30 I'll take names of all who can go to El Fenix up the street for dinner. We leave the hotel at 6:00pm. Paul - This one is for YOU!!

Place: LV, TX Comments: OK, my bad for falling behind on our birthdays again, although some don't want to be reminded of them anymore - but, cat's out of the bag now! H a p p y B i r t h d a y wishes go out to Rod Savage for 4/6, Carol Carpenter for 4/10, and Dane Thornton for 4/12! Rod, Carol & Dane – I'm pretty sure if we brought a cake to the mini today, we'd need a DFD permit to light that many candles and Red Adair's crew to extinguish the flames! We're hoping for a good turn-out at the mini today & that you'll be among the attendees. If not, we still hope you'll stay in touch and send our best wishes for many more!
Place: Richardson Comments: I wish you could be here too Ada Ann, but I was so grateful you were able to make the 70th B-day party! I appreciate the extra effort you and the many others put into coming to our Minis and Reunions! I'll post photos afterward. |
