We had a great time at the mini last weekend. Sarah always felt welcomed from the first mini we attended. She felt right in and was the " adopted" 66er as Ronney put it.
Rain and some wind here in Plano, but no hail.
Happy a Easter all. We are going to the Kay Bailey Hutchinson convention center tomorrow to watch our granddaughter play in a volleyball tournament. Then Sunday services with our daughter Marsha, Jeff and the three Hale grandkids, then lunch with them after services. We ordered the Honey Baked Ham.

So very thankful we didn't get hit with what they were predicting!  Nothing really happened until about 12:45 am & we got some wind, rain and very loud thunder & lots of lightning.  But, no 70mph wind they predicted or big hail stones.  I did hear a few little pings, but nothing to do any damage.

As far as I can tell, none of our group got hail last night.  Everyone up north of hear a round just got the rain & some wind but nothing to worry about.  We all dodged a very big bullet!!

It's calm & quiet here for now.  It's supposed to hit DFW area from 2 to 5 am.  But maybe they're wrong, weathermen have been know to miss the mark!

Paul - I have prayed many times today & will do so tonight for your count to be LOW & well under 10%.  I also keep Charles Moss & Speedy Harrison in my prayers.  It's a difficult time for many of us, but we're learning to take each day as it comes & to be assured tomorrow is a new and better day.

Love to all and let's hope those baseball size hail stones they're talking about don't fall on any of us!!  Batten down the hatches & stay safe!!

To all who posted about having a good time . . .  me too!  I was so proud of all of you who drove great distances in some nasty weather to be there!  I really enjoyed visiting with so many friends. that's why I didn't have more photos . . .  I spent too much time talking!

And yes, our last two get-togethers have been rain plagued.  At our big 70th b-day party there was a monsoon on Saturday, yet 85 of 91 people still made it from all over Texas and out of state!  And again this past Saturday,  another deluge of rain, high wind and some tornadoes, yet we had a good crowd.  I guess it takes more than rain to stop a SOC '66er from enjoying a good time and El Fenix!

Sandy you did a Great Job pulling it all together. It was Wonderful getting to see and visit everyone. Loved getting to know Paul and Kathy. So glad Don is doing better. Looking forward to the Fall Mini. El Fenix is always a GOOD idea, that's one of mine and Fred's favorite places.

The pictures and all the posts have been great. Sorry to have missed seeing everyone. Sounds like we need to figure a different time to meet! I believe it stormed on us last time also. Bobby was upstairs watching tv and all the power went out. It was not completely fixed when we left there. Oh well - fun times!
