Place: Edmond OK Comments: I pray for all our folks—well or unwell, but especially the latter—and for Charles by name. Hang in there everyone.
Place: Richardson Comments: Paul - You have my prayer everyday but will be very vigilent today praying for a very low percent of cancer left. Also prayers for our friend Charles Moss as he's back in the hospital. I hav eto go now for Dr appt but will get back to everyone after lunch.
Place: Oak Cliff Comments: Couldn`t make the Mini[pneumonia]Charles Moss is back at Clements[UTSW] hosp.Dealing with thing`s he deals with.Wish someone would get the EL FENIX lunches organized and info put out.Someone changed it a while back ..and is not widely known. Not everyone is on FB!
Place: Edmond OK Comments: Would appreciate your prayer. Tomorrow I have my bone marrow biopsy. If under 10% cancer cells they set me up for the strm cell transplant. Appreciate all of you so much.
Place: Richardson Comments: To all who posted about having a good time . . . me too! I was so proud of all of you who drove great distances in some nasty weather to be there! I really enjoyed visiting with so many friends. that's why I didn't have more photos . . . I spent too much time talking! And yes, our last two get-togethers have been rain plagued. At our big 70th b-day party there was a monsoon on Saturday, yet 85 of 91 people still made it from all over Texas and out of state! And again this past Saturday, another deluge of rain, high wind and some tornadoes, yet we had a good crowd. I guess it takes more than rain to stop a SOC '66er from enjoying a good time and El Fenix!
Place: Paradise Comments: Sandy you did a Great Job pulling it all together. It was Wonderful getting to see and visit everyone. Loved getting to know Paul and Kathy. So glad Don is doing better. Looking forward to the Fall Mini. El Fenix is always a GOOD idea, that's one of mine and Fred's favorite places.
Place: Spain Comments: The pictures and all the posts have been great. Sorry to have missed seeing everyone. Sounds like we need to figure a different time to meet! I believe it stormed on us last time also. Bobby was upstairs watching tv and all the power went out. It was not completely fixed when we left there. Oh well - fun times!
Place: jscallorntx@yahoo.com Comments: Thank you Sandy! The Minis would not be what they are without your skills in organizing these Minis. It was great to see all who attended and what fun! Cherish the friendships!! Looking forward to the Fall Mini!!
Place: Richardson Comments: I got all the photos posted this afternoon. I did a large one of the group photos! thanks to everyone who was able to make to the Mini. Great seeing you and look forward to it again in the Fall. Go to our Home page & run your cursor across the Our Photos tab & then click on Mini Get-Togethers to see all the pics.
Place: Sun is shinning in Richardson Comments: It's a bit chilly with the N wind but it's NOT raining! I really enjoyed yesterday & so did Don. Lots of good folks to visit with. I have some photo sand I'll post a few on FB but all of them here on our site under Our Photos & then click on Mini Get-Togethers. Right now we're getting dressed and trying to figure out how to drive to the downtown Omni Hotel to pick our dtr & G-dtr for a late breakfast. G-dtr playing in volleyball tournament yesterday & today. Man, thank goodness for Google maps!! LOL Dls has too many one-way streets! Later . . .
Place: Temp:Keller Comments: What a GREAT time. Thanks to Sandy for putting it together and to all who braved the nasty weather. These times are truly special and so are all of you,
Place: North Richland Hills, TX Comments: Sandy, it rained on me all the way home! Traffic wasn't too bad, though. Everyone seemed to have a super time at the mini and later at dinner!
Place: Not raining any more in Richardson Comments: Despite the continuous downpour of rain most of the day, we had people from all over show up at the Mini. They drove in thru lots of water from KS, Edmond OK, Waller, Paradise, N. Richland Hills, Austin, Arlington, Mansfields, Frost and all over the metroplex. We had 32 and 26 of us went to dinner at El Fenix! It was a good afternoon & dinner. I did get photos and will post tomorrow. Thanks to each one of you for coming today, it was a fun time and it made me feel good. Hope you did too!
Place: Keller Comments: Rain clearing out here
Place: Galveston Comments: I hope everyone has a great time at the mini today. Mike is a little down in his back after completing putting in stone tree rings in the back and side yards so not up to the 5 hour trip each way. I was able to attend a “business meeting” of the ladies club I am part of here in Jamaica Beach this morning since we weren’t able to come there. Miss our dear friends from SOC and sorry we can’t make this one. You are most welcome to visit here in sunny Galveston. 😘 |
