Paul - Update.  As of yesterday, 9-19, the cleaned & good stem cells went into Paul.  The next 15 days will be critical and he will remain in the hospital during that time and until everything appears to have taken hold.  Good luck Paul, we are praying for you and sending good thoughts too!

H a p p y  49th n r ay to Rod & Linda Savage, married Sep. 19th, 1970, in Eugene, OR.

Rod – We hope you & Linda enjoyed a wonderful anniversary celebration today.  Notes say there was another ‘Rod Savage’ marriage on the same day & in the same church, but yours was in the evening – talk about ironic!

Best wishes to you both today & for many more to come!

Had a big surprise this morning in my email. Paul sent short note saying a 1-day delay in treatment but, 1st round of chemo was Tue  & 2nd round today.  Tomorrow,Thurs, cleaned stem cells go in!  Let's all pray this goes 100% great & Paul will be able to come home soon.  Of course, then his solitary confinement starts for 2 months.

Also, keep Robert Dean in your prayers on the recent loss of his dear wife Lynne.  They were coming up on their 43rd wedding anniversary.

Sammy,
I knew Pat Cheshire from having been in the SOC band together for just a short time as he was a sophomore clarinet player during our senior year in high school.
What I remember most about him was how nice of a guy he was, and that he was someone I knew as a fun loving guy with a friendly and very kind of a smile...I'm really sorry to hear about how he's doing.
I'll be sure and keep him in my prayers along with all of our SOC66 classmates who are also dealing with very serious health problems right now too.
Maybe your cousin can mention to Pat that Mario from the SOC high school band is keeping him in his thoughts, and his prayers tonight.

Any of you know Pat and Sandra Cheshire from class of ‘68?
Pat is having quad bypass real soon after having actually died three times last Saturday. Received the message from my cousin Jerry and Terry Hubbard Fisk

Otherwise, we hope this finds you both doing well and wish you many happy returns.

I'm sure sorry to read the note Robert Dean asked SNL to post about the passing of his wife, Lynne.  I read the full obit and it's a shame we didn't get to meet her at our 50th reunion - maybe some of you already did previously.  But, she was involved in so many worthwhile causes, her calendar may have been already full.

Paul - Tomorrow begins the big day you've been waiting for.  You'll have the full squad of 'prayer bears' pulling for you and looking forward to updates, once you're healthy enough to check-in again, or have someone do it for you.  As for FB-Neanderthals - count me in; still holding out, but Kathy, kids & others tug on me regularly.  Best wishes for a successful recovery!

Now, a coupla b'day catch-ups!

Sandy, so sorry to hear about Robert Dean’s wife. He will be in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you for the update. Glad to hear from Paul too. It seems as though each time I check in on the GB, there is often such sad news.

Yes, it breaks my heart with all the classmates and spouses we have lost in the last few years.  It makes it even more important to make plans for the Fall mini on Oct. 26th!  The excuse of, "I'll make the next one" really doesn't work if you plan on seeing all your friends.

C'mon gang .  .  .  I'd really like to see a bunch of you in person on Oct 26th rather than a few months later at your funeral.  [eek]  And that's a cold hard fact, it's happened several times in the past few years.  C'mon, make this girl happy .  .  .  Be There! [biggrin]
