Place: Richardson Comments: Paul, how did y'all fare with all the storms that were coming out of OKC? Hopefully still in tact! Hope you and Kathy are doing OK. Down here we're all hanging in there. ![]() Here in Dallas & Richardson we got some much needed rain on Monday that held temps to the upper 70s to low 80s. It was great, but that's over. Right back to sun & heat. By end of week it will be upper 90s and for the All Star Games next week it's 99 to 100 each day. Our SOC friends in and around Houston have checked in and they are OK. Most without electricity but it's slowly coming back on.
Place: OKC Comments: Happy 4th Socites. On behalf of all our vets: 🫡🇺🇸
Place: Richardson Comments: No, not yet James. But, Charles Moss grew up on same street and was friends with the family. Larry's older brother is the one who called Charles about Larry's death. He said Larry would be cremated and a memorial later. As soon as Charles knows anything he will let me know.
Place: Carthage, Texas Comments: Never send a post that has been done without one’s glasses. Has anyone seen an Obituary for Larry as of yet??
Place: Carthage, Texas Comments: Has anyone seen a copy of Larry’s obituary as of yet?
Place: McKinney Comments: I will be there. Just need to figure out what to being.
Place: Richardson Comments: John, that's a great idea, a shuttle bus. Do you have a CDL license? Could be some good tips, us girls are big tippers!
Place: The Woodlands, TX Comments: I'm so excited about the July Luncheon! The date gives me plenty of time to prepare my popular "Swedish Meatballs" dish. You know, little meatballs with blonde hair on 'em (my own special touch). Will there be valet parking? Or maybe a shuttle bus from Snider Plaza?
Place: Girl's Luncheon Comments: This isn't the best of timing, but after I hung up talking with Ann DelRegno, Charles called me with the bad news about Larry Thomas passing away yesterday. I had to take some time away in order to come back and post this info.
The Girl's Luncheon will not be at a restaurant, instead it will be at Ann DelRegno Hoose home! She called and volunteered to host the luncheon at her home which is in the SMU area. Here are the details. You are cordially invited to the home of Ann Hoose for a Girl's lunch. It will be on Saturday, 7-20, at 11:30. Ann will provide some appetizers, plates, silverware, tea and a salad. She suggested that when you attend you bring one dish to share. With all the fresh vegetable and fruit in season, the possibilities are endless. Also, if you have a favorite wine or other drink, feel free to bring it, there's no "corking fee" at Ann's house! This will be so much fun as we can all mill around and visit rather than being confined to a table in a restaurant! Thank you Ann! Her address is: 3519 McFarlin Blvd. Dallas, 75205 Em: annhoose@swbell.net or Em: sandylynn754@gmail.com Please reply to Ann or me that you are coming so the host will know how many to expect.
Place: Sachse Comments: So sad and sorry to hear about Larry. He was always such a nice guy. He looked so good at the last mini. Go to show, we don't know what tomorrow will bring. Thoughts and prayers to the family.
Place: OKC Comments: OBVIOUSLY, I can no longer even spell SNL’s name correctly. Sheesh. |
