Yeah, I figured she meant 20 sec & not minutes.  But what the heck, if we're home and looking for something to do . . .  !  With everything shut down there really isn't anywhere to go.  When I read yesterday in the paper that, Neiman's, Nordstrum's and Macy's were closing until at least 3-31, I knew it was bad.  Today it's JCPenney.

It will probably get worse before it gets better due to all the testing that will be done starting in the next few days.  Let's pray we see improvement & a light at the end of that very long tunnel.  We'll all be OK if we follow guidelines, do our part to stay in, not going out except for necessities & by taking precautions.  Here's a toast, not to the Mini we missed, but to the Mini we'll have in Sept!  Until then .  .  .                                                                  [image]

I wanted you all to see this. It was posted on my Multiple Myeloma website by a Registered Nurse. Use it or not as you think best.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day Everyone! I am sorry I have taken a few days off but I have cancelled my trip to see my oldest daughter and my grandkids and have hunkered down at home for the time being until it is safe again. We all have to make sacrifices in times like this. Please everyone take this seriously! As you may know my son has his PhD in Molecular Biology and is the only Geneticist in the Army and is working 24/7 on the Corona Virus says this is the real deal and anyone over the age of 60 and anyone immune compromised should be hunkered down at home and wiping down everything with a 10% Bleach Solution, especially door knobs, light switches and counters. Have groceries delivered if possible. Don’t go out unless absolutely necessary. Wash hands with hot soapy water for 20 mins. It won’t last forever friends, hang in there! Praying πŸ™ for all of us! Love, Marcia 🌸☘️

my best to you all.

Paul

Almost forgot about the best part of today!

H a p p y  9th  A n n i v e r s a r y to Alvin & Diane Rogers, married on this date, Mar. 16th, 2011.  Notes from Alvin said: β€œMy niece was going to get married in Vegas, so Diane and I decided that was just as good a time as any.  So, upon arrival in Las Vegas, we picked up our marriage certificate and went to the 'Little White Chapel' and had the drive-through ceremony.  By the way, my niece's ceremony was at the 'Viva Las Vegas Chapel' and an Elvis impersonator performed her ceremony, really a fun wedding.”

Also, Kathy & I celebrated our H a p p y  24th  A n n i v e r s a r y
today
married on Mar. 16th, 1996 at Oak Alley Plantation, Vacherie, LA, just 6 months prior to my retirement from the CG.  Oak Alley includes an antebellum mansion located a quarter mile from the Mississippi River between New Orleans and Baton Rouge and is noted for its overarching giant live oak trees believed to be nearly 300 years old.  https://www.oakalleyplantation.org/

OK, we finally got the word from the VA CIO - if you can telework, do so until told to do otherwise.  This may continue for several months.

So, you'd think with a WW-pandemic, that would be enough to worry about.  But apparently, we had at least one LV resident connected to the drug cartel (not an acquaintance of ours) and we're not sure how many more are yet to be ID'd:

Wow, Dallas Mayor just announced that at midnight tonight all Bars, Clubs, Gyms and Restaurants must close!  Restaurants can only serve via a drive thru.  DISD & RISD are on spring break this week and just announced they are closed until further notice. Things are changing by the hour. Please heed the warnings and be safe!

This is as close as I'll probably get to see my teams in the near future!

Well, Richard, I think that you have made a wise decision. I would have been less concerned had you been driving to Texas - but being in the confines of a β€œflying tube” with β€œwhomever” seems to be not the best idea right now. My nephew and his wife and daughter have postponed their planned March flight from Seattle to KC. Not panic - just prudence. Just sayin’. πŸ˜‰
Everyone be safe and stay healthy! I want to see all of you at the Fall mini. This mess will be in the rear view mirror by then. πŸ™πŸ€žπŸ™
Love to all! ❀️

Well Jack, we'll have to postpone that drink.  I'm going to delay my date/trip until warmer weather which might kill or weaken this virus.  It's just getting too weird out there.  And some of you are even in the high-risk category considering your ages.  Some of you.
