Comments: I don't know about following dog do and rotten eggs, but here goes. Linda, my great uncle also wrote many songs that are in the hymnal. Charles Durham, wrote "You Want Have to Cross Jordan Along", sung at many funerals, and many more. Eileen, hope you had a great birthday.
Comments: John Southworth, that guy was my customer, I called him the 5:30 A_ _ H_ _ _ . Wanted it on his porch early every day. Never tipped me at Christmas. His house got papered and a rotten egg tossed on the porch. I think a piece of dog do was found in the sports pages.
Comments: KMG you're so silly. I'm sure we wouldn't have the same outfit. you have so much better taste than I do. Mine was a modified red coat. Much like the one Sandy Joe was hoping for. You know how they used to wear them over one shoulder and a little gold chain under the other arm. Quiet dashing! Toni, you write??

Comments: All I can say is "Thank God that JS canceled the Awards show" because I think Jack and I would have shown up in the same outfit. Oh the humiliation!  Happy belated birthday to Smiling Eileen Sandifer. Hope it was joyous! BLB, thoughts and prayers are with your family and friend. Our company lost a 30-year-old female employee and the 9-year-old son of one of our salesmen to cancer all in one week. Makes me keenly aware of our mortality and grateful for good health. I know Christie's rehab will take time but it is so comforting to know that she has done so well thus far and her strong determination will help her get through it.
Comments: Happy Birthday Eileen!! Linda P: does that mean that there is a chance you are related to another Nance (the west coast ghost) we know?? FYI: I have a customer (dentist office) in McKinney. While I haven't had any work done there, I can tell you that they keep their equipment in very good shape. I think this relates to the quality of dentist they are too. It is Stonebridge Dental 4150 W. Eldorado Pkwy, Ste 300 McKinney, TX 75070 Dr Micheal Bolton and Dr. Cynthia Medina (972-547-0554) A source that won't be named has leaked that the reason Southworth's SOCademy Awards are canceled is that almost all the winners are from our class (66ers). Knowing that would not set well with the "older" set, he took the easy way out and canceled, blaming it on the riders strike. I'm sending John a bill for the cost of my new red, off the shoulder, outfit I bought JUST for the awards. I urge the rest of you to do the same!
Comments: Congratulations to the "Wisconsin Wonder" and Sandy Joe for correctly identifying Calcutta Drive as the location of Eileen's front porch. I lived 5 houses east of Eileen on the same side of the street. Next door to me was a grumpy neighbor named Kenneth Blackburn. True Story: Mr. Blackburn was a cranky guy who expected his newspaper to be "porched". On one occassion when the paperboy came to collect, Blackburn tossed the money out into the yard and yelled "if I have to look for my paper, you can look for your money!". I hope Sandy wasn't that paperboy.
Comments: Sandy McGee -- Thanks for the information; I'll give it to my daughter. My aunt has researched my family's geneology and has gone back 10 generations. She has a book published in the Library of Congress. Once I went to downtown Dallas Library and spent hours looking for one patriot. I don't think I have the fortitude to be that investigative for a long period of time. One of my relatives wrote 4 songs that are published in the Baptist Hymnal -- "Higher Ground," "No Not One," "He Included Me," and I don't remember the last one. His name is Johnson Oatman, Jr. He was from Llano, TX. BLB -- Twinkle in the eye; be thinking positive thoughts for you and your family. Some dates are just etched into our memory. It's been almost 8 years since my mom passed away and last night at church I saw her husband (not my parent) at church sitting with another woman. I think that it's alright and that anyone who wants it should have a companion to be with, but it still hurt to see him with another woman. He didn't see me, and I was unable emotionally to go to him and say hi. I was surprised at myself.

Unfortunately, Jesse James is in mine.She had something this past weekend..meeting or something.My wife went to visit with Sarah and Jacqueline and will get back later.Spent time in Salado.I had to work so I could not go.I have records of relatives being Irish gunrunners for us against the Brits...records since the 1700's.Maybe thats where I get the twinkle in the eye from...
Comments: John S., Eileen lived on Calcutta. I flurted with her every month I stopped by to collect my $1.95. Linda P., built a beautiful outdoor kitchen for Dr. Terry Scott. Great guy, house is in the Historical Dist. downtown McKinney. My grandsons go to him. My Grandfather had a relative that fought with the Virginia Vol.
Comments: Lot been going on lately, guys. One of my friends, watched her daughter going into the ER at dif hospitals..being dismissed both times with Bronchitis.Well, it developed into pneumonia,lungs whited out, was placed on a ventilator,ended up on dialysis and multi organ failure.Services are Saturday.This is the time of yr Noel was lost...and almost Israel.My father died 2 days ago,seven yrs ago.My family needs your thoughts, as does my friend.Thanks |
