Place: Richardson Comments: Touche Paul. This is a situation that's perfect for Smiley!
Place: Edmond Comments: Sandy, if he isnβt wondering, who are you?π
Place: Richardson Comments: Bill - I don't specifically remember you from SOC but all SOCites are welcome to post here. It's nice you checked-in & you should do so more often. If you would go to our site & click on the "Update Your Info" tab you can send me your current locale & contact info. It's never published or shared with anyone. Thanks for posting and come back often! Our Home page is: http://www.soc1966.com Oh, in case you're wondering, I'm Sandy (Norman) Lynn.
Place: Bellingham, Washington Comments: I moved away from Dallas right after high school and had no contact with the class of '66 after that. In my mind everyone is still 17 or 18 years old so this makes it difficult to accept hearing about someone having problems related to age. We had a good time in '66 in spite of the changing world we were living in. Keep laughing, help one another and never say "never".
Place: Melissa, TX USA Comments: Thank you for the update. ππ»ππ»
Place: Richardson Comments: Sally Taylor just returned my call. Said she had gotten sick, not coronavirus, and it affected her throat. But better now & probably needs to change her voicemail. Their apartment is on the 11th flr of bldg & she hasn't left the apt since mid-March. They are OK but don't leave. Said to tell all her SOC friends hello and thanks for asking about her.
Place: Richardson Comments: Toni - Funny you would ask, I just hung up leaving a message for Sally. Usually she answers her home pho but I got recording saying mailbox not set up. Called her cell & I got a very weak voice (it was Sally) saying to leave a message and she would call back when she was feeling better. Oh My Gosh, let's pray she and/or Christos don't have COVID-19! If I hear from her I'll let y'all know, but this is scary. In fact, life is getting scarier by the day!
Place: Melissa, TX USA Comments: Good morning everyone! Just passing by and checking in. Sandy, I have been wondering what, if anything, you may have heard from Sally Taylor? I donβt recall any posts about her. I know she lives in New York. TIA
Place: Waxahachie, TX Comments: Glad to see the '66 site doing well and with up to date entries. The '63 SOC site is doing well, as is the '62 with about seven regular contributors. Our '64 site is there but just for notices and don't make the mistake of going to the old '65 site. Wow. Asian stuff that is way out there. As an update from an older class member, the only member of your class I recall is Donnie Fox and he is doing well. Donnie served in the Navy for four years and he and his wife Patricia Moore Fox (Kimball '66) live in Richardson. Keep up the good work on the website because a bunch of old poops like myself enjoy having posts to read about "our old days."

Place: Richardson Comments: Dang! I haven't looked at FB in several hours as was fixing and eating supper. It makes me very sad and especially for the kids, they lost their dad and 13 months later their mom. The only bright spot is that she & David will now be together again. RIP Shirley Flatt Mitchell & tell Doc we miss him.
Place: NH Comments: I just saw on FB that Shirley passed away. She will be with David.
Place: Rainy Again in Richardson Comments: Please don't shoot the messenger but . . . just found out from my friend, Alan Struble, that Shirley Mitchell is very ill and in Hospice. Most of you know Shirley is the wife of our dear classmate "Doc" David Mitchell. Sometimes it just doesn't pay to turn on FB, lots of sad and bad news. March 4 was a yr since David passed away.
Place: Richardson Comments: Yes, that song, Hotel California" has more meaning now. I feel like I'm on "House Arrest" and can't leave. And I didn't even rob a bank!!
Place: Edmond Comments: You can check out any time you like, BUT you can NEVER leave. |
