Well Don there are quite a few people that probably made comments on FB that cannot be repeated. Got a lot of insulting cards at a surprise luncheon with about 6 “friends” here in Kerrville.  Do not worry I have it written down.

hope Toni and Bruce had a great anniversary. Remember it well - in fact I have a picture of the four of us on my desk here.

Coupla catch-up wishes for yesterday, but first, a follow-up for Shortcake:

I sorta figured that would draw a 'pay-back' response.  Hopefully, you weren't too hard on Bobby or at least, he saw it coming.  Guess I'll get mine when we have our next mini - unless you know when my next b'day is and post something appropriate. [cool]

I have notes about birthdays & anniversaries going back many years, but most of them came from classmates.  Pretty sure you weren't the source of this one.

If it wasn't Bobby, I might've picked it up from someone else who left a g/b note on your b'day.  Now, who else would do something like that? [sneaky]

Another boring stay-at-home week has gone by and yet we're still deep into the relentless *&@%$^% coronavirus!  I'm bored and want to see my family & friends so bad.  Please God, kill this virus and help us restore our country.

Y'all stay safe and let's all look forward to the day we can get together and celebrate being together once again!!!

Not sure if I should say thank you or I will get even with you and Bobby.  Got a lot of really insulting(funny) cards about fire though.  Thanks for the good wishes.. we are home and staying safe.

Missed one yesterday ...

H a p p y  B i r t h d a y wishes go out to Karen 'Shortcake' Reynolds Louton for July 11th!

Shortcake – Hope this finds you kicked back and taking it easy this weekend.  Do folks at the fire dept still refer to lighting the candles on your b'day cake as a 'controlled burn'?  There was something about it in my notes, but not sure about the origin (Bobby?).

Anyway, best wishes for many more - 'lit-up' or otherwise!

This afternoon was our visit to Don's surgeon.  Unfortunately, cast didn't come off!! Come back in 2 more wks.  Can't begin to tell you how disappointed he was!  [frown]

So far it's 10 wks with a cast & now 2 more.  If the shattered bones have grown back well enough in 2 wks . . .  then Dr. will remove cast and put him in a removable hard cast with velcro straps so he can at least take it off to shower.  Now we use long plastic sleeves from our morning newspaper & rubber bands.  Oh my, is it almost Fall yet  .  .  . !!!!  [crazy]

Really glad to see Don is doing better.  Maybe we should ground him from riding bikes for awhile!  I know with him doing better you will be also SNL!  Bobby fell from a ladder last week so he is grounded from climbing ladders.  Not a lot going on in Kerrville.  Mostly just staying in.  Although we did go to James Avery yesterday. Our group was the only ones in there for awhile.  Then to eat Mexican food.  Everyplace here requires a mask until time to eat.  Everyone stay safe and 6 ft. Apart

Good morning SOCites!  It just seemed right to go forward a few more days with the patriotic theme.  Don't know about the rest of you but, it's seems that one day morphs into the next.  Most mornings I have to look at the top of the newspaper page to confirm what day it is.

Don and I are going by " best practices", staying in, don't leave house without mask, not eating inside any restaurant, etc.  But I'm so tired of it and very worried about our country. How and when will we recover?  God Bless this Nation and all within it.

I'm sure it isn't the 4th of July we all had anticipated.  Who would have thought we'd be staying at  home, wearing mask if we go out & No Fireworks!  Hope each of you continue to stay safe as the virus seems to have had a big resurgence here in TX & especially N. TX.  Until we can all get together again . . . Happy 4th of July ! !
