Comments: Memorial Day Weekend each year is an emotional time for me, in a negative sense. On Memorial Day of 1974, in my 29th year, I accidentally met my (2nd) wife (Robyn) in the back parking lot of the Willowick Apartments in the Village off Greenville Ave. I was lazily painting my boat and nearby someone had stolen the battery out of Robyn's green Dodge Charger. I've reported this to others before ... she was waiting for me in that parking lot like an iceburg waiting for the Titanic. It was the one single day that would torpedo the rest of my life. This coming Memorial Day, my boy Matt will turn 21 at Ft. Rucker, Alabama. For me, Monday will be a day of bittersweet memories and missed opportunities ... of dreams that never quite worked out as planned. I shall fly the flag, mow the yard, read a Harlen Coben book and curse the thief who stole a car battery back in '74.
Comments: Capt'n Happy Jack, the Botox Boy and I struggled with the traps at Cedar Crest. Both of us took 4 shots to get the ball out. It was ugly, but the beer was cold. I used to laugh at the old guys playing in large groups. Now, we be them......
Comments: Well Jack, I think the only tool in your chest that might help is the lever. Use it to wedge yourself away from the dinner table. Here's another hint form Heloise. Spray fix-a-flat sealant in your mouth and press your lips together tightly. You'll drop those extra barnacles in no time. Shortcake is definitely starting the celebration early or she's seen one too many camera flashes go off.
Comments: Shortcake, how much wine did you have for lunch?? Did you have anything besides wine for lunch?? Was the cap and gown red or red? Your Mom's boyfriend had a daughter at age 11??
Comments: KMG: barnacles are very stubborn. Success at removing very minimal. Thinking of trying a jackhammer. Tried chisel. It didn't work either. May have to spend the long weekend going through the tools in the garage to see if any of them will work.
Comments: Everyone that is traveling this weekend - STAY SAFE. We are in Garland right now. Shelby Graduates from kindergarten tonight. She is bummed out
Comments: Hubby has been out in west Texas working for the last three weeks, but he'll be home for the weekend. I think we're going to see Prince Caspian some time over the weekend. I've heard it's excellent ... better than the first one! For all who are traveling, be safe.
Comments: We are about to leave for Huntsville to be with our daughter for the holiday. We always enjoy spending time with her in her little apartment. At least this time she won't have to spend part of the time studying, seeing as it is between semesters. We also have to attend a wedding in Houston tomorrow. I hope all of you have a great holiday weekend and stay safe. Linda P., be sure and watch out for those big rattlesnakes in Burnet, TX. And, Toni, you watch out for all snakes, even the little HARMLESS green grass snakes. Don L., please tell your cousin, Larry Edwards, hello for me. I don't think I have seen him since we graduated. I always thought he was a GREAT guy at SOC. annette the Lionette, practice your chicken clucking and go outside to do it REAL loud. That way, while I am in Big H tomorrow, if I hear clucking, I will know it is you. Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

because her "cap and gown" is red. She said she would much rather have red! I'll send pictures. In fact, I have a picture of us with the judge right after the adoption that I will send to SNL for posting. 
We have all sorts of things on Saturday to do and then we have to be back at the lake on Sunday because my Mom is bringing her boyfriend and his daugher for the day! 
He is 97 she is 86!
