Richard's brother Jack was a year ahead of me at SOC and was considered a "character" by his '62 buddies. He was a good lookin' kid and judging by that youtube video, he was a handsome young man.

The video is excellent. I love the part about "get back in the stall, horseface!". Cracks me up. I can see why he got socked for that one. How come you (Richard) weren't cameo'd with a comment or two?

By the way, it pained me to read your post about your car being pointlessly vandalized. Any way you slice it, you're out the deductible and the time and inconvenience of having it repaired. You need to move to The Woodlands where we have deed restrictions against that sort of rowdy behavior.

[sidebar: Dale tried to move to The Woodlands, but had to settle for nearby Crighton Ridge. Thankfully, since 1998 our deed restrictions have specifically excluded all families named "Smiley"]

Great looking pictures of the grandones, Shortcake. You are justifiably proud. Richard, I have always remembered the bizarre cult classic "Eraserhead" never knowing until the last year or so that Jack was your brother. It's one of those movies that you keep replaying in your mind, whether you want to or not. The next time you come to a mini, I would love to hear more about him. He sounds like quite the character and had a very interesting life. It would make a great book.

Toni, there's not enough space to tell you about him...good guy, though...great actor on stage, that didn't come across as well on film.  Southworth wrote up something on his website a few years ago about Jack...so, I assume he was familiar with his work.

Karen -- You have great looking grandones.  They have such happy faces and great smiles. I know you are proud of them.  Your new RV sounds great.  You should post some pictures of the inside of it on the GB for us (who don't have one) to enjoy.

Ronney McKee -- You know how most girls hate snakes.  Just your mentioning them, sends shivers up my spine and I want to flee.  No fake ones either. 

We are going to Burnet, Texas for a few days over Memorial Day.  I've heard lots of good things about the area and a place I haven't been in Texas.  Anyone been there and if so any suggestions?  Thanks

Ronney.....now you're catching on.....that's why you'll never be allowed onboard!  unless one of the ladies volunteers to frisk you....and I'll surely suggest they don't...but wait...the last two snakes you gave me were of the "sugar" species....totally harmless....according to my grandsons, that is!  There's a part of me that will always be looking back over my shoulder when snakes and you are used in the same sentence....

Hello... Ada sent me an email wanting to know where I is. Well I is here. But I did go down Austin way last week. Our son Jonathan graduated from Texas State. Already has a job and has moved to Houston.He turned out a lot better than I did. I flunked out of college my first year.Never could get the hang of those clippers, kept cutting every ones ear.Hope to see ya'll on 678.
