Comments: Happy Memorial Day !!! to all. Please keep our Vets and beloved Christie in your prayers. This has been a typical day for me. If you want to read about my day log into my blog at http://everettr.blogspot.com/ . I can't rewrite it all again. I'm trying to recover from Shortcake stabbing me with a cocktail fork at Donnie and Barbara's birthday party Saturday night. Ada, if you still can't log in email me and let me know.
Comments: I just opened the GB for the first time this weekend and discovered the news about Christie. I knew this day was coming, and it is such sad news. She will certainly be missed.
Comments: Amy has provided the info regarding the services for Christie. You can also check her Blog at http://christietorbett.blogspot.com/ as Amy has written a nice eulogy. Funeral services will be Sat, 5-31, 10:00am at First Baptist Church of Duncanville, 323 W. Wheatland Rd. @ Santa Fe Trail. Burial will follow at Little Bethel Cemetery.
Comments: Ada - Try deleting the 's' at the beginning of the link, https, & that should do it.
Comments: I am truly sorry to hear about the passing of class mates. Getting old has many blessings and cursings. One bad thing is that we have to start laying our loved ones to rest. The wife and I are up here alone and most likely will go the same way. The Lord has been good to me , giving me such a loving woman, whom I thought I would never have, living on disability tries my nerves sometimes but I am coming of the age of retirement. I would like to come back to Texas one more time before my father passes on but can see no way. oh well , I will keep you people in my prayers. Love Robert and Jolae Norman ![]()
Comments: Read of the passing of another classmate. Christie will be missed but not forgotten. We celebrate the fact that she is going to be with our lord and send our well wishes to her family and close friends.
Comments: Everett, I cut anf pasted and still no luck
Comments: Ms. Christie, you were a class act. The drinks we shared with Eilene at the bar during the parties were full of your dry sense of humor and smile. I appreciate your friendship, you will be missed. I never forgot how you looked at the 10 year reunion. Some of us thought you were a New York runway model. My dear you were stunning, and will always have a place in our hearts. God bless you kid. |
