Don L. I agree that the person writing the article was definitely there!  After rereading the article it's obvious they also looked at and read all the notes on the photos.  BUT-- in addition to your wrist, there were several other things we never mentioned on the GB and you would only know about them if you had attended!   The Anon was an excellent writer, but Anon posts are not accepted.

Ya'll have a good week and stay out of the heat!!  Sandy Joe, take care...  wear a big hat and use sun screen!!

Helloooooo...Anonymous.  I didn't take any offense.  I thought it quite clever.  I also believe no harm was meant.  Please step up and step out.  You are an excellent writer.  Now the subject is dropped.

I think the anonymous 'Bear Tracker' was really at the mini, altho said not to be.  How else would he/she know about my wrist brace & upcoming surgery for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome - that wasn't posted on the g/b or otherwise common knowledge.

I'm gonna go out on a limb & assume the best intentions were in mind when this was posted.  I haven't had any negative experiences with my former classmates since being reunited during the mini-reunions that led up to our big 40th - more of them are friends than ever before.

So, fess-up 'Tracker' & let us know you're still one of them.  We may have to flog & kick yer butt on here a few times, but we'll let you buy the 1st round of drinks next time.

The Bear Tracks Tacky Reporter Edition has been deleted.  As we all know - - Anon posts are not accepted here.  If you want to be tacky, at least own up to it!

I agree Sandy Joe.  If the writer of the article put the same effort in to participating rather than absentee reporting on it, maybe they wouldn't be so negative or tacky!

On behalf of the Anon, I apologize.  Now ya'll get back to being your usual weird and funny selves!!

Can ya'll believe - -  101 yesterday her e in HOT-D !!!!!!!

Beside Sandy - you can't be a Bear Tracks reporter unless you actually show up to report what went on.  You can't report second hand news

Mrs. SNL, out of respect to you, the Fugates, and others that put for the effort to plan these mini parties I think this Bear Track report should be deleted. Several people spend a great deal of time and money to travel to Dallas to continue the friendships we have had for many years.
This is well written and I'm sure well intended, but if they don't bother to participate, who cares what they think? I've had the pleasure and priviledge to continue friendships I had 45 yrs. ago. These people are warm, caring, and deserve respect.
Bear Tracker, show up, join the SOC Family, I'll buy you a beer and we can watch my man Happy Jack Hawkins churn up the women.

After sending an e-mail notice to the members of the SOC ’66 Vets’ Roster recently, about Christie’s passing, I received the below response from the wife of one of our vets & former classmates:

“Don --

Since you sent out the notice on Christie -- I thought you might want to know for class records. My husband, Michael “Mac” McDonald, known as Mike in SOC '66 days, passed away suddenly from a heart attack last November.

Too bad that sad news is all too frequent these days as we approach those darn "golden years".

-- Lisa French McDonald”

I was unable to locate a link to Mike’s obituary in the Dallas Morning News archives, although their address was in Dallas at the time of our 40th reunion.

You are correct on both accounts Ms McMakin.  The Bear Tracks article was well written and anonymous posts are not allowed on this GB!  Therefore, whoever wrote it needs to send me an em ASAP letting me know the author or it will be removed!  I won't "out" you, but there are no exceptions.

I'm disappointed in the photo album with all that white space everywhere!!  I'm going to call Network Solutions (the ISP) and report the problem.  But I'm just too tired tonight to go thru an hour ordeal fooling with them.  You know how it is now days with Customer Serv Reps!

Hope all you Dad's had a great Father's Day and if your Dad is still alive... I hope you let him know how much he means to you!

Now, Mr. or Ms. Anon - -  let me know who you are!

No one can remain anonymous on this GB, so who wrote that? Not quite accurate, but very well written.
Just wanted to wish every dad a Happy Father's Day.   I was just thinking about my Dad while I was watching Tiger Woods.  When I was growing up I would watch golf with Daddy on Sunday afternoon just to be with him.  Then I remember about being in church.  My dad could not carry a tune. He really tired hard and loved music.  I would get so tickled in church I would shake the bench.  To try and stop I would pinch myself (hard) , because it hurt his feelings that I would laugh.  But it was funny.
For you dad's there is a poem, The Man In The Mirror.  There are several versions.  Google it and take the time and read it.

That is a pretty good rendition of what went on at the mini except for the fact that we really had a great time visiting and talking with each other.  You should have come and then you could have reported first hand

I just wanted to say Happy Fathers' Day to all you great Dads! I spent yesterday evening having dinner with my 90 year old Dad. His cousin turns 98 today! I hope I take after his side of the family. Now I am going to take a look at the pics from 6/7/8. BTW, SNL, the link you included for the flag jump was really fun and impressive.

Pictures look great SNL, but you forgot to include all of the pictures of our RV .  Just kidding, of course.  When I downloaded the disc I was in a hurry and did the whole thing.  Anyway - you did a great job on them.

Well gang, the party pics are finally up and labeled!!  I can't tell you "why" the4 album has now decided to throw a huge white space in between each line of photos!!     I'll need to call and have a heart-to-heart with the ISP later.

You may have noticed that with all the changes the ISP has made you can now click on the first photo and then use the arrows to see all the pics without having to close each one out and reopen the next!  Now that's a good change!

Yes, I will post some of the group photos, but that's a whole different animal.  I've had so much trouble getting these 65 pics posted I wanted to get them up and then I'll go back and tackle the big ones.  You'll need to go to the EVENTS page and read the info to find the pics!
