I signed up also, Buddy.  As a matter of act, I donated a week ago and ordered a bumper sticker!

Thanks, Buddy - I'm in also.  I don't give a hoot about political parties anymore, so I'm not choosing sides to argue.  We're way past that point & all that politics has gotten us is divided & arguing, but not doing anything.

Our elected officials have basically become power & control-obsessed, squabbling DC street-gangs.  I'd like to see us pursue ALL energy solutions, old & new.  And most of all, I'd like to see us put the 'U' back into the USA & start behaving like it, again.

Kathleen I think you have seen too much Michael Moore for data from Mars. USA needs to tap in its own energy and not make the DICTATORS and WAR LORDS of the world so strong , fat and happy.

Buddy, I would be happy to sign a petition that would authorize the development of alternative forms of energy and improve public transportation. We do not need to be developing oil fields in the Alaska wilderness and other environmentally sensitive areas. (There isn't enough oil to make much of a difference). Off-shore drilling in Alaska threatens the entire environment of that area. It puts endangered species at greater risk and is negative for native people. I wonder if President Bush truly wants to develop these oil fields because the high price of oil is artificially created between him and the House of Saud. Why else would he go to the British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, to get their cooperation to put pressure on the European Union to put sanctions on Iraqi oil?

Stop complaining about gas prices and electric bills and do something about it. DRILL HERE. DRILL NOW. PAY LESS. www.americansolutions.com Common sense needs to set in this wacky world of political rhetoric and let the US control its on energy.

Rick - - You & SOCrates Jr. have certainly become good travel buddies.  My favorites are the one with him sitting in between the Canadian bears and with him on your shoulder while on the Ferry.  I'm sure that drew lots of curious looks!!     Thanks for putting up the travel site.

Gee, Southworth! Quite frankly, I am afraid to comment on that last statement you said Yuvonne made. But, my imagination is going wild.

While the high cost of transportation will prevent us from attending Gordy's celebratory event - fear not.

I'll see to it that Dru whips up an 8-person serving of her famous "Swedish Meatballs" and FedEx's 'em to the party.

The Smiley's can attest to these tasty morsels. I can recall Yuvonne commenting "Why is there blonde hair on these meatballs?"

Toni-- Yes, and I'll put you down for cole slaw too!  Please keep me away from your banana pudding.  You saw what happened last time!!     Don't know if it was the Scotch that made me do it or it was because it was so darn good!!

Jack-- we can take care of that ride for you!

Oh Sandy what have you done???? You know last year Gordy BEARLY had enough food to go around. I only took home one heaping plate of ribs and one of brisket and a quart or so of sauce. If all the locals (some of the out-of-towners may make the trip and show up too) I won't have much left-overs to carry off.
Gordy provides a great spread but, if you come remember it is BYOB and bring a side dish or dessert for 6 or 8 people. Bring a couple of lawn chairs in case you need them. It is an outside party.
Hope to see ya! ( I might need a ride home)
