Ms McMakin...do you mean working with tomatoes that have crossed over? And what exactly does "crossed over" really mean...is that a reference to the tomatoes sexual; preferences or is it a tomato turning into a zucchini?

John,  how many Port a Pottys do you seen in Mexico out in the tomato fields....not a heck of a lot.  After working with many that have just crossed over, it's a wonder a lot more of us aren't dead.

We went in to Quizno's today and my wife ordered a sandwich that usually comes with tomatoes on it. The guy behind the counter told her "No tomatoes, yet".

Just last night our local newscaster said that the "all clear" had been issued and it was okay to eat tomatoes again.

My questions are these: Just who is the Tomatoe Czar and how did he/she get that job in the first place? And how does he or she know exactly when all the bad tomatoes are off the shelf and the good ones are there to be eaten?!

I have my suspicions that it is Dick Cheney. I mean, what else do you see him doing?

I don't know how many this makes this year but the Dr was wrong this morning about him having passed it.  This afternoon it hit again and for the last four hours he has felt like he has been trying to pass a watermelon.  I really feel bad because there is nothing I can do for him.  Looks like we will be going back to the DR in the morning.

Our phone lines and computer were down again today so I'm just getting to catch up on the GB. Okay Nance, your story has changed. You said you couldn't make the mini because your aunt was coming for a birthday celebration. So what's the real story? Huh?

JS, I agree with you that Smiley is not the Bear Tracks reporter because of the accuracy of the spelling. Hopefully the author meant well, and if so, there should be no need to conceal their identity.

Alvin, were you at the mini? If so, I'm sorry that I missed talking with you. I hope you are healing from your loss and getting better every day.

Buddy,
Yes, Richard was born to be wild. He did become less wild before his death. But his wildness finally caught up with him. Such a waste of talent but as most good guitar players they live life to the fullest. Richard was my cousin, and he spent many a night at my house to get away from his alcoholic father who used to beat him weekly. I saw his musical abilty from the very first time he picked up my Sears acoustic. Could not read music at first but played by ear. I still have records he wore smooth listening and pickin the song. He does have a young son (Eric) who plays almost as well

I'll have to say it looks like I missed a really good gathering. Besides the regulars I see photos of the Mitchell brothers(David & Ricky), senior Capps, Tommy Barr (glad to see you're in good health), the incomparable Rosemary Z, and even the couple extraordinaire the Southworths. I should have rearranged my trip with the Litchfords. The Christie moment was a nice thought by all you folks.

I can promise you guys that I DID NOT write the Bear Tracks. Maybe we should call it the Bear Tracks Inquirer. I bet the bar maid wrote it.

Mike McDonald was my first male playmate.  He came home with me one afternoon from JNB and asked my mother if I could walk home to play with him (remember he lived on Overton Rd at the time and I lived on Sutter St.).  I remember to this day what he told my mother after asking if I could go to his house to play...he said "Ms. Rogers, I would take very good care of her."   My mother allowed me to go to his house!  Boy, oh boy, we couldn't do that today. My mother always remembered him.  SNL, he was in that very old birthday picture I sent you with Mark Wilson, the magician!  I'm very sad to learn of his passing.  Don L., please extend my sympathy to his wife if you speak with her.

Shortcake, how many kidney stones has Bob passed so far this year??  He's going for the record, huh?

What offended me most about the Bear Tracks scandal is that the dang thing has gone up in price to $10.00 an issue!

At first I thought it reeked of Smiley, but the spelling was too perfect.

Sandy Lynn - missed the Bear Tracker report. Can say no way to report an event like 6/7/8 of friendship and brotherhood of people enjoying each others company without being there. Really a heart warming event to see so many old friends in one place. Good Job Girl !!!!

Sandy Joe - I am ready to hit'em up next week when you get back from Baston
