Comments: To all McKinneyites -- My daughter's 7 yr. old male border collie (tri-color, approx. 50 pounds) got out of their yard and has been gone since last Wednesday afternoon. Their home is about 3-4 miles west of 75 off Virginia. The dog's name is Kingston (he has a dog tag) and the family is heartbroken. Thanks.
Comments: I don't know Jack. If they are still there, they all have new lines....everywhere.
Comments: Sorry for the double, folks! Toni, you know how I am when I'm excited. Richard; if they are the same "girls" will the lines we used in the 70's still work now? Toni, that is GREAT news. It means that there is still hope for you. Come on over!!! Now, if we can just get Southworth's head clear and him to open his eyes, he'll come over too. I'm afraid it is too late for Roe's sister, Kathleen Pulte.
Comments: I think she's the best thing since "Botox" ![]() ![]() ![]() Off to the office to cause some trouble. I think it follow me ![]()
Comments: ....Happy Jack, there you go....stuttering again! JD, sorry we didn't get to finish our conversation...hope you are feeling better soon! I forgot to put that part in, and I'm really sorry about that! ....don't everyone choke on your coffee...I kinda like Mrs. Palin!
Comments: Susan, one of the commentators stated Sarah Palin may have single-handed saved the Republican base....that may be correct.
Comments: Richard - I'm a fan of Sarah Palin's. Trying to find some glasses like hers!
Comments: You had it right the first time, Jack, but they weren't blue....more of a Spider Man design (I was ahead of my time). The Body Shop's still around if you guys want to fill up a plane come to San Diego and we'll have a BNO. I think some of the same dancers are still working there.
Comments: I probably should not tell this, as I am opening myself up, but, when you wrote "float on my back" award, I pictured you in the water with one of those swimming pool floats (you know the blue and white ones) on your back. I thought what kind of weird Navy award is that. Then I thought, must be some kind of initiation thing. Only then did I realize it was neither, but for you learning to float-on-your-back in the water and not drowning. DUH! Oh Yes, the Body Shop, well it was a better place than many to turn 21 (or any other age) Hope the party was good. and as we used to say......If you remember it, it wasn't. Party on!!
Comments: I don't know, Jack. I've got the "float on his back" award, the "turning 21 at the Body Shop" award (you remember that place), and the bowling. I don't see these making the pages. JD, if Arnold & I ever did set foot on a boat, let alone float on one, it's gone from my memory. We just did the accounting. You guys fire a round and we'd count it. Any Sarah Palin fans out there.
Comments: The Men of the Square Table had a meeting Friday night. I wish the attendance had been better, but a quorum was present and the meeting a success. Problems solved, meal eaten and adult beverages consumed. I believed we all came away enlightened. Some great stories were shared, many of our classmates were mentioned (in and out of the stories) Cable Guy and L V Guy joined us from out of town. I look forward to our next gathering and hope the rest of you guys will join us. Richard, maybe we should lobby for a separate page for a non-official awards page on the vets site. I have a volleyball trophy somewhere for the Long Bhin championship. If I could find it, I'd send a picture, but it isn't an award and certainly doesn't rate with the medals page.
Comments: Good game yesterday!!! COWBOYS 28 Browns 10 Why is it my 27" old TV looks so small now that I've moved??? At our small apartment with the very small living room it looked good. Now, sitting 10-12 feet back, and in the entertainment cabinet we bought . . . it looks so tiney!!! Gotta get a new & bigger one soon. Maybe for Christmas . . . . ![]()
Comments: Khe Sanh ...I still can't type
Comments: Mr. Nance...your dearest friend Victor has been laughing every sense your first post on the GB...although many of us understand your California humor...he understands the underlying reasons...and I can hear him from my house. In fact, I'm pretty sure that he is watching over many of us as we get older and asking God to allow each of us another day... But I want you to first understand...then accept what I am about to share...you and Eddy Arnold floated on the big boats and if it wasn't for you guys...those of us at Khe Sanh and other battle locations around the country would have never survived. Your ability to launch on a daily basis the meanest, bravest and craziest Marine & Navy pilots I ever saw... saved our lives...and that includes not only myself but the 6000 marines that I so honorable served with during the siege. So if you want to let me have your bowling and cribbage awards I would be honored to post them...love ya man! I do, however, want to know how much money you two stole in the card games!!! LOL
Comments: Hey Don L, what year did coach Turner live on Ramona? He lived in the 4th house from the corner on Utah (I lived on the corner of Utah and Garza) when I was at Oliver. |
