I can't remember any other phone numbers but I remember mine  growing up, FR4-5925.  Boy that look funny.
We are having "friendly" rain and light wind here in DeSoto. However, I may have my trees trimmed a little later in the day.
My prayers go out to all the people affected by the storm.

Thought I'd let you know that I talked by cell with Jerry Tillery a few minutes ago. They are all fine. have been without power since 9:00 last night. One of his kids house lost a few sections of fence, but everybody and things were OK.
Good to hear from John too.  We are waiting for the wind here too!

My "adopted" big brother Binks is in Austin & I talked to him last night. He just moved his Mom & Dad out of Houston & his wife has been there cleaning out their house. She is still there and is now in the middle of the Hurricane along with her kids. He was pretty concerned and upset.  Concerned, of course because of the weather but really upset because she waited until it ws to late to leave - and she did have plenty of notice-they did not want to leave their stuff!  Pls pray for them.

9:45pm and friends just reported that the power is out in the River Oaks area of Houston. Isn't that close to where Annette lives? Sort of central Houston.

This afternoon I looked out in my front yard and two lambs were grazing on my lawn. They were very tame and the kids and neighbors were just standing around watching them.

Turns out the teenage girl next door is in FFA and brought them home from their pen in some rural area. She is keeping them in her backyard til the storm blows over.

The wind is now picking up just a bit and it is very, very, quiet outside. Some would say ... the Silence of the Lambs.

Muwhahahaha!

I am thinking of all you guys down South tonight. I'm praying all will be safe and that property damage will be minimal.

JD, you should have been a slot car racer because you have a "ONE TRACK MIND"

Doc,

There is a Patricia Jean Tune, born in 1948, lives in Dallas on Marview Lane. She could be the real deal. I thought you were inquiring about a long lost class member.

Our son Jonathan lives in Houston now. He's riding out the storm at his girlfriends parents house in Friendswood between Houston and Galveston. Just got off the phone with him, The wind is blowing about 50 right now. I won't sleep much tonight. Do you think Ike is looking for Tina? John S. Don't know who Patty Tune is Fake name I think. I had an email from her on the Big D 60's web site and she was talking about the mystics. Must be an old fan. But she did know a lot about our group.

We have no visitors coming from LA this weekend & I don't think we'll be leaving the Lago Vista/Austin area.  So, if any of you TX coast SOCites or relatives need to hang out a bit further NW of 'Ike', just give us a shout or e-mail above link.

Jack, Mr. Fowler was quite the ladies' man back in the day as I recall!  JD, that's your answer for everything....you crack me up!

John Southworth, Stormpulse.com is Bruce's new toy!!

I remember my old phone number too, Sandy - FR1-1082 but I don't recognize FR1-1460, but I'm glad Robert cleared up the name of the Waffle Shop in Glendale - Earnie's!  Sandy McM and I debated on that name.

To all of our South Texas extended families - stay safe and stay in touch to let us know you're okay.

Congrats to Ronney on the upcoming event!  You all are going to have a wonderful time, and to think, you'll have to go back to work to relax and rest!!  Been there...done that...what fun!

Good memories, Robert. Thanks for sharing. Some of those houses are probably worth three or four times that now. Some may be still be the same price.
Can't say I remember Patty Tune. Now, Cow Patty does ring a bell.
You folks in South Texas, since we can't talk you in to leaving, batten down the hatches. Hope you won't need your high water pants!!!

Want to give you an update regarding Sue Ash McDow.  I've spoken with Mike several times & her Dad has been very ill for more than a month now.  Sue drives up to their place in Weston, TX and spends the whole week there helping her Mom take care of her Dad.  Her Mom isn't in very good health either and can't do it alone.  Last week her Dad was in the hospital but is now back home.  Mike said Sue is spending all her time up there trying to take care of them, but her Dad is not doing well at all.  Just wanted to let you know why we don't hear from her and ask that you keep Sue & her parents in your prayers.  Most of us are currently in the same position or have been there before, we know how difficult it is taking care of an elderly &  seriously ill parent.  God Bless you Sue!
