It has been more than 40 days since I've cooked anything!! But Toni I do think I can meet your requirements fairly soon, as Apple Fritters are my favorite too!  It's been waaay too long since I had one!
Comments: Thanks all for the anniversary wishes. I'm not sure how I got so lucky when I met Linda 38+ years ago, we met, dated and were married within 6 months. Once in a while that 'love at first sight' thing really happens. I'm glad she stuck it out though, I don't think I could stand to be re-trained. We dinner with another couple at the local Vet's Club. The restaurant at the Vet's Club is run by the parents of our son's friend and they have one of, if not the best, steaks in town. Doesn't get much better than good friends and great steaks. Thanks again for all of the anniversary wishes, they are appreciated. By the way - GO COWBOYS

BTW, SNL, I'll take eggs benedict and a champagne cocktail if it's not too much trouble.  Shortcake, stay away from those bikers. They may be more than even YOU can handle. DWF, it doesn't matter what McGee names his driver...it's still not gonna come when he calls it. Thank you Cheezehead for your humble and kind commentary on the Cowboys. Even though they made some mistakes, they improved in other areas and showed enough depth of talent to overcome the gaffes.
Comments: Late BDay Wishes to All I have missed. Have been busy w/ Hurr Ike evacuees and a good bit of damage to our own county from Ike. I think all of the power was restored by late Thurs. for most parts of the county. Extremely sad to hear of Jackie Fullington Hardwick's death. Our thoughts and prayers are with Lamar and the family.
Comments: Toni, that is a concept I don't understand. I have no idea why a bar could not serve eggs. The bars I know that serve food, serve a full menu as long as they are open.

Toni - - right now the "Coffee Bar" is up 2 flights of stairs, but that will be changing soon!! I'm fixin' to start unpacking all those kitchen boxes and setting up my kitchen!! We got the new table and chairs put together & set up. Dang, nothing comes assembled now days!  Hopefully by next weekend it will be in working/cooking order. Yea!!! What kind of pastries do you like? And could we say about 9:00ish??? How 'Bout Then Cowboys!!! We finally broke the jinx!! We won at Lambeau Field!! Tony didn't look too hot, but Felix Jones, Miles Austin, Witten & others made up for it. Kathy - Glad your move was a good one & sounds like you have a sweet set up for now. Enjoy it! Comments: Happy Birthday to everyone that I've missed!!!  Sorry about that but we stopped at a couple of RV parks that did not have Wi-Fi. Didn't know it before we checked in! It is great here. Getting some great pics. The deer just roam through the park at night! About 30 of us sat outside last night around a couple of TV's with chips and margaritas and cheered the Cowboys on. Course this was after 40,000 bikers left the area yesterday!!! Got several unrepeatable offers when we went to Walmart on Saturday   . I never knew you could do some of those things on a motorcycle (some of the bandidos were here). See ya later.

I'm suffering from hair trauma. I have been keeping Courtney's blond Lab while she was in Africa. Maggie, Courtney's puppy went back home yesterday Yep she's an inside dog, need I say more. It was worth it though. There were 670 Acholis who accepted Christ as their Savior, with 4 teams teaching each day in "the bush" of Enteebe, Africa. She was the first woman to preach in Uganda.
