Comments: Sandra, I really hope the doctors get Courtney's problem diagnosed and cured asap. The results of her mission trip were phenomenal. BLB, I went through the same thing as your daughter when I was 19 and I'm still here. So have courage and know we are thinking of you and her. Rick, be careful handling raccoons and possum; they often carry rabies.  Say SNL, maybe you could rent one of those Starbucks coffee machines, in which case I would like a carmel macchiato, extra whip and carmel. Thank you very much.
Comments: John S....I've got just what you need.....a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy....named Laddy. Parvo could teach him her techniques and you and Andrew could go in the P/S business! Comments: Regarding Sandy McM's need for a pooper scooper, I suggest the problem and solution may be as simple as changing the breed of dog she owns (or adding a second dog as described here). For instance, my neighbor Andrew (the one who doesn't like being referred to as an African-American [mostly because he is Caucasian], owns a tri-colored Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who actually picks up after herself! "Parvo" (the spaniel) will yap away until Andrew rigs up her poop pail for her. It is a little blue plastic bucket with a soft lanyard that fits around Parvo's neck. She simply trots around the yard, dragging the bucket and scooping up debris. A couple of times I've caught her trying to offload her gatherings in my yard since she can't quite reach the garbage can. I have read those Cavalier King Charles Spaniels have IQ's approaching 32 (that's like 224 in human terms).
Comments: Jack, I've been to LV Guys house, I don't think he needs any more racoons. Linda P lives close by, I'll take it over there, or maybe to Gary D's house. I let the possum I cought go in some woods about a mile away. Toni can you give me directions to your place.
Comments: Sandra and BLB -- hope everything goes well with your girls. I know it is such a concern when our children are not 100% healthy. When is this breakfast coming about? I keep hearing about it, but don't remember seeing any dates. I like latte and orange juice. Actually, I'm not particular. Happy birthday to Roger and Rowe. Hope you had a great day.

LOL LV Guy, I guess there will be NO barefoot volleyball in your backyard. What about the Cooncat poo?? Rick you are a graduate of SOC. You ARE smarter than a 5th grader. That coon has probably been in more traps than you have ever dealt with. He just has more experience! After you catch him, are you going to take him on a nice long car trip? Maybe he would like Jim Young's backyard or LV Guy's. Pool Guy might want him as a company mascot.
Comments: Sorry to have been away. Have much to catch up on.My 17 yr old had two abn pap smears and is going for a biopsy.She is having a hard time because of her brother had cancer. Need your thoughts and prayers for her....later
Comments: Well I can safely say, I am not smarter than a racoon. That little guy has fooled me again. I have been trying to trap him so I can relocate him away from my back yard. The critter was in the trap last night and the door sprang closed on him but he forced it open again and escaped. I didn't set the door lock correctly. I not too sure if I could out smart a 5th grader at this point.
Comments: Ladies, ladies - What's with all the crises over doggy poop? I considered picking up after mine, but looked around the yard & see all kinds of other 'critter deposits', mostly from deer. Besides, by the time the dogs get finished back-kicking dirt, gravel & weeds to cover theirs, it's too filthy to pick-up. I figure it winds up on the ground for a reason - it's dirrrty & the hill country needs fertilizer to keep all the weeds healthy. So, I'm gonna take a pass on messing with Mother Nature.

Comments: Linda/Sandy McM...it's all in the wrist!!! SNL, you might want to get one of those "take a number" machines for your coffee bar...I can tell it'll be a big success. What's the chance of getting a mimosa? Karen RL can teach us how to drink them all day and still walk a straight line!! Note to John S.....I was married for 27 years to a Kimball HS/SMU Law grad who made Denny Crane look like an amateur.  I should sell my stories to the writers of Boston Legal!
Comments: I like pastries too, with hot tea. Will your coffee bar serve tea? I have been at Methodist Central since before the sun came up this morning with Courtney. Just got home. She hasn't been able to keep any food or liquid down since she returned home last Monday. Of course she was dehydrated and has an infection. Her sonogram showed no obstruction and they ruled out Malaria. They don't know yet if it a foreign parasite. She has an appointment with a infectious disease specialist tomorrow afternoon. Linda, since you know how to pooper scoop, why don't you come over and show me
Comments: Karen -- Heck, any offer at our age might be a good offer -- I don't know what you can do on a motorcycle, but I can imagine. Walmart! Sandra -- I'm a good pooper scooper, but I've got 2 dogs that I have to do the "scoop." They need to make a left-handed one as sometimes when I dry to dump the STUFF in the pastic sack, I accidently dump it on the ground and have to start over again. Yuck!
Comments: Rick, I think he named his driver Freddie Mac and his putter is Fannie Mae. Story I heard was that they both decided to skip town and head to the Bahamas after inheriting a big sum from their Uncle Sam!! |
