Comments: I sure had a great time with all you guys & gals who made it to our mini yesterday, including the other out-of-towners, Carol C. & JD - thanks for making the 'long haul' again. We had a coupla new folks show up this time - Marvin Courte & Fred Meier, along with their wives, pleasantly surprised us. As soon as I get his military info, Fred will become our most recent vet entry. Toni & Karen RL - Thank you both, very much, for the gift bag, containing a metal 'God Bless America' cross & 'USS New York' ball cap. JD & I intend to continue our work on the SOC Vets' Roster & the Military website, regardless. But, I sincerely appreciate your thoughtfulness & am very grateful for your friendships. 
Comments: Ronney, I am going to send out my birthday wishes for you early too, so hope you have a good one tomorrow. We missed you at the mini yesterday. A very good turnout despite a few regulars (Bovie and McGee) being "sickly and puny" and unable to attend. Thanks again to JD for making dinner afterward at I'Fratelli's that much more special with vino, appetizers, and Italian style Spumoni for all. SNL, I will try to send photos tonight.

Comments: To be frank, I haven't kept up with Jimmy Carter much since he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002. But I think he was the only Naval Academy grad to become President. An achievement that will still be standing this time next week.

Comments: Thanks for the birthday wishes. But, my birthday is Nov. 3. I will re-read the birthday sentiments on Monday.  Sorry that Connie and I won't be there today. We are having some problems with my elderly aunt who is at Grace Presbyterian Village. She is acting like a spoiled brat and refusing to take her meds, pitching tantrums, and such. This is SO not like her. We will be thinking of all of you today. And, we look forward to the next get together.
