Well, there seems to be lots of SOCites roaming Chicago. (Buddy, El Dorados are out, Escalades are in...they're easier to bullet-proof).  Those are all good ideas, but what if it's 2 degrees outside?

Richard, since JD seems to be otherwise occupied....you can't go to Chi-Town and not visit the Museum of Science and Industry...the Sears and/or Hancock Towers.  Take plenty of batteries for your camera as there are plenty of Kodak moments....possibly in Grant Park too!

To all of our vets....please enjoy your special day!  We are so very proud of you and humbled by your service.

Richard,
My son lived in Chicago for 3 years, and it is FULL of beautiful sights. The Planetarium is the most awesome place for me, and also offer the best place for panoramic viewing and pictures of the city. The Navy Pier is great, and you must take the Architectural Boat Tour. The Lincoln Park Zoo is wonderful, the open air Lion area is worth the trip--My son lived across the street from the zoo and could hear the Lions feeding and roaring every morning (of course I'm partial to LIONS since BIG Z days). For walking go to Millenium Park.
If you want a truly wonderful neighborhood restaurant--small, intimate, authentic and affordable try "MAZA in Lincoln Park. There are the obvious touristic sights, and the Frank Lloyd Wright home is worth a side trip.

JD...if you're out there...I want to take Mary Ann to Chicago for 4-5 days.  She's never been there, and I've only been thru it via airports, or driving.  It looks like a great city, however.  Any thoughts, recommendations?

Sandy, glad to hear you're back home and pestering SueSue all day.

SNL, I knew you said you sent an email out and I wasn't invited...I just assumed I was being punished for voting for Obama.  At any rate, I'm in, but I'm out of town and can't deal with it until Friday.

Don and Kathy --  I agree, you should be on Dancing With The Stars.  What a cute couple.

Sandra --if you keep my birthday card until next year, will you lose it b/f my next birthday?

Sandy McGee -- Glad you are better and home from the hospital.  Diet and exercise!  I'm writing this while I'm eating a sausage bisquit from McDonald's.  Oh, well.  I'll go exercise it off tomorrow.

Sandy J. McGee - You need to not do that again   You know that you really worry us when you just decide to get sick and go into the hospital - I am sure it wasn't a picnic for you either, but we want you around for a lot more years.  Seriously, while I did not get to the hospital to see you, you should know that my thoughts and prayers are definitely with you.

Thank you to all for the calls, cards, and visits during my stay in the hospital. I had felt sluggish and had no energy for a month. My ticker had gotten into a high rate, and my knee Doc sent me to the hospital Monday. All is well, diet, exercise, and meds will fix this mess.
Sam Smith, I share your pain. Many times I set in my garage, in tears, holding my putter, after losing $2.00 to Bay Watch Capps.
Don L., I love your steps. You and Kathy should be on Dancing with the Stars.
Happy Jack, the Nurses thought you were a cute Grandpa.
Botox Boy, if you're gonna ride with me, get your butt out a bed, I start early.
Happy Birthday to all. Take care.
Sandy
