KMG - Sorry to hear of your cousin's passing.  It's been a rough year for your family.  I hope and pray for God's tender mercy.

Karen RL - Hope your mother is better.  I'll be praying for her healing.

JD - What a nice thing you said about our veterans.  I couldn't have said it better.  I sleep with a veteran (my husband) every night.  He went into the Air Force at 17, came out 4 years later and went to college.  Rarely talks about his time in the service, but whenever the vets are recognized, when he and the others stand, I'm proud that he served our country.

I'm so sad to hear about beautiful Brenda Melton passing away. She had the voice of an angel---she sang in many talent shows, and had an unforgettable voice---these days she would've definitely been a contender on American Idol. She was a year behind us I believe. So sorry to hear about you losing both Debbie and Brenda---such wonderful lovely people.
Shortcake, we hope and pray your Mother is doing better.

KMG, I'm sorry to be reading about Brenda this morning. I believe the two of were somewhat close, as I recall...this is never an easy thing, close or not.

KMG, I am sorry to hear about your cousin, Brenda Melton's passing.  There is a lovely picture of her in this morning's DMN.  Wasn't she from the Class of '67?  Please pass along our condolences.

I woke up this morning remembering it was Veterans Day.

I prayed to God for his safe keeping of all the men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of this country when the Commander in Chief ask them to go to war.

I prayed for our classmates who served  and thanked him for letting me live to share my life with friends like you.
God Bless all veterans...and all of my friends...and most of all God Bless this wonderful place we call the United States of America.
Now let's pray for peace so all can come home!

RN...it is a beautiful time...call me...and I can give you enough places that you'll be exhausted. Kathy & I would like to meet you and Mary Ann for dinner if you have time. I will share...wait until all the Christmas lights are in full play....it makes Michigan Avenue the most beautiful location anywhere...especially if it is snowing. Light usually go up just before Thanksgiving...just dress warm...let me know, I'll send you a complete list of things to do, see, eat, and fully enjoy.

Jack, I had assumed you'd be recommending some of that sippin' whiskey on cold days. And Buddy, where the heck have you been hangin' out the past 40 years?...sounds like you some of the homies by name.

...when you visit Wrigley Field, you'll be surprised at how small it is and the fact that it's right in the middle of a residential area.  We couldn't be over how people had converted the fronts of the apartments with stadium seats and glass fronts so they could watch the games for free and sell their own tickets!  We loved it but the parking is not good but you'll love the "Stomp" wannabees out front entertaining!!

RN- on a cold day in the Windy City, lots of places to share conversation on the south side with a homie over a fired up barrel drum but you may want to keep your wallet and Mary Ann locked up in that eldorado. Richard never been there but would love to go summer time to Wrigley and see Lou's boys play baseball
