The world is a less joyous place with Don being gone.
God bless you Don. May you see the beauty of heaven and run with the wind there. Lord knows you had a tough time on earth.

That is very sad news indeed.  I thought he was getting better.  My prayers go to Virginia and Don's family.

I'm sorry to have to bring sad news, but Don Gaines has passed away!  He left us at approximately 10:58 this morning.  No arrangements have been made yet, but as soon as I know something I will post it.

We all knew Don and, I for one, certainly admired his courage and fortitude in the face of all his medical problems.  I know he is in a better place and will no longer be suffering!   Virginia is an angel and was steadfast by him through everything.  God Bless Virginia and grant her peace in knowing Don is with God.   My prayers go out to Virginia and all of Don's family.

Hey Shortcake, where did Chase come up with that "look"??
Did he see you doing your end of the day routine and adapt the idea??  Hope those were Halloween outfits and your family has not gone Goth.
Toni; how many dogs do you have now??

Thanks for the confirmation Toni!  I know I can't do 4 things at the same time anymore, it's kinda down to two.  Unfortunately, I still mess up one of them!!  Must be all this new fangled, high-tech, supposed to make my life easier equipment!!  My kitchen now has a blue "glow" at night from all the LED lights in the new fangled appliances.  I don't want to go into what my ofc looks like at night!!  Even the darn new TV has a small red LED on it even when the TV is off!  No wonder they don't sell many night lights anymore - - all our houses stay lit from the electronic glow!!  LOL   BTW, we do love our new TV.  Wow, never knew HDTV would be that dramatic.  Cowboys sure looked good on it Sunday night!!!!

Thanks for the bump Shortcake, and with that...  I'll raise you one.  Yes, your Grandones are adorable and you are also a good photographer!!  Maybe a little annoying... but we love just the same!

Geez it's cold these last few days.  We didn't get any snow here in far east Richardson, but we did have a thin layer of ice on the roads yesterday.  I don't know how Ada Ann, Rod, JD & others do it - - I'm soooo cold!!  Hey, Merry Christmas to all the GB Gang!!!  Next week is Christmas!

Thanks Ada & Karen-I have fun with the kids. Shelby is finally getting used to the other two calling me Nana but doesn't really like it very much.  That is ok she knows how special she is to me!  SNL - The website looks fantastic-all of the pages looks great-actually puts you in the Christmas spirit.  Good job.  Give yourself another raise!!!!!

I think 'W' missed a great opportunity to behave like a 'short-timer'.  He should've sat on that guy's chest & b*tch-slapped him half to death with those slippers - left, right, left.  When you get 'dissed', you give it back, 2-fold - no PC in a combat zone!

KRL....the kids are so cute....looks like they all have an imagination like yours!  Many people are still without power...might not be restored until after the first of the year.  We were so fortunate to get it back on Sun AM, but did use the generator until then.

JD, I've noted on the Vet's page (those with Honors), a technical bug exists.  Clicking on the bottom two vets defaults to Smokey (Jay) Kimbrough.  We need a webmaster's advice here.

Jack, in Bush's case I don't think I'd advocate throwing a shoe at him....maybe a size 14 boot up his @#@.  With his wild-west vernacular, I'm wondering if his concerned that somewhere out there there's a shoe with his name on it; or, Audie Murphy's "No Name on the Shoe", How about a Masked Man and Indian leaving a Silver Shoe when they ride off into the sunset.  Anything to add?..I could go on for hours on this one and I didn't even watch the late night guys.

KMG - - Fantastic!!  What a perfect night for football . . . 70 degrees!!  By any chance were you there with a handsome guy named Mike??

Here's a cute Christmas song favorite sung by Santa with his reindeer as back-up singers!  http://www.mesasoftware.com/merrychristmas.htm

Just wanted to say how cute Shortcake's grandone's look. Very cute costumes also. Great Christmas decorations on the GB. Good job, SNL, as always.

Also, I got to see the Cowboys beat NY in person Sunday night. If you noticed that the crowd was nosier than usual, now you know why.
