Comments: A very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Sally Taylor & Mike Dunn!! Mike- I'm sure today will find you in some foreign country & probably at the airport!! Take care of yourself & PLEASE come see us in the spring at our next mini!!! Sally - Remember Mr. Wadill's Sr English class? He was a great teacher & we had some very interesting personalities in that class. You sat over next to the windows & I was about one row from the the other wall. We had Robert Dean, Steve Gray, Ann Scott, Virginia Macon, the every articulate Howard McAfee, and I believe we had both Barbara Williams in the class. Also, I think David White sat in front of you. May you enjoy the day & have many many more!!! It's also Elvis' b-day today...would have been 74! ![]()
Comments: Richard, same doctors we went to growing up. I can't remember the name of the street they were on. I know it was called Baker Clinic. We called him Dr. Baker, Dr. John. He was a giant of a man. Most of the time we would see Dr. Luden. I remember the house calls. That was so neat. Happy Birthday Sally and Mike! Hope you have a wonderful one. Remember to keep it Sixty and Sexy, ![]() ![]() Hope everyone that has had health problems are doing better. I've missed some anniversaries and birthdays lately, happy belated to all. Hi, Gary D. ![]()

Comments: Dr. John Baker is correct amundo (sp?). He was our family doctor for ever...old fashion type that would make "house-calls". I remember having the mumps and he came by and dealt with it.
Comments: Dr. John Baker? and Dr. Luden?
Comments: Kid- B-fingers-you know what 47 millionaires gathered around the TV watching NFL playoffs are called : Dallas Cowboys cuffman's into real estate now, oh my! he had the real deals on timeshares. from #1 Thur #18 the sales pitch. don't know that much about time shares. seemed like some sweet deals, on the coast, even had a target store next door but you know me (the home boy) the Gaza Stip just too far from Texas
Comments: The Chester Clinic Annex?....now there's a good memory. Any of you folks ever use Dr. Baker back in those days...a fairly rotund physician and quite the guy....had a son that became a dentist.
Comments: JD, I was saddened to read your comment where you stated: Quote: I am beginning to look almost like myself. I know you most likely had high hopes for another outcome and such a development must be disheartening for you. Maybe they could bring in a Specialist?
Comments: The good news, JD, is that the swelling is only temporary (from the incision, that is. The swell head, I fear, is permanent).
Comments: We are praying for you, JD. Take care of yourself.
Comments: JD, you've always had a swelled head, so what's new. Seriously, take care of yourself as all of that sounds quite nasty.
Comments: Jack & SNL...thanks for asking. As you might guess my neck on the left side looked like a fully inflated pro football...swelling out beyond my left ear. In today's medicine...they now glue the outside of the incision but sew everything inside...so I had not only this 4-5 inch scar...I had this clear glue that included lots of blood from the bottom of my ear to the bottom of my neck...then the swelling moved to the space under my chin and I looked like a very large man from the neck up...what a sight. When I went back to work I had to wear my collars up like in the 50's...everyone laughed until I showed the area of my neck that I was covering up...one lady fainted...so I didn't show it again..she had to go home. But as all things change...my swelling is now down a lot...but not totally yet...I've been told that it may take several more weeks for my system to absorb the blood that filtered into my skin. But thanks for asking...I am beginning to look almost like myself. Jacob was extremely curious and when he saw it he looked me in the eye...said "BAD BO BO Grandpa" and ran into their kitchen...opened the frig...and brought be one of his frozen ice packs which he calls his bo bo buddy...thought it was neat when he placed it on my scar. What would we do without grandchildren...???
Comments: Ada, hope you kept your receipt. No returns without a receipt!! No exceptions. Why don't you send her out to sweep the walk and driveway?? That should keep her busy till spring..... |
