Comments: Happy Birthday Blues by BB King
Comments: Good morning and thank you all for the happy birthday wishes. Just another day in the life, Is that a song Ada? Do you know the words? Be strong Ada, you will be fine. Trust me I'm a doctor.
Comments: Ada Ann - you are definitely on my prayer list. I know how you feel on this because I have to have that stupid test every two years. Just keep us notified as to what is going on. this is the worst part - the waiting.
Comments: Ada Ann - you will definitely be in our thoughts and prayers for a good report. We love you- D&B
Comments: Ada Ann -- I had my colonoscopy about 6 years ago, so I know how much "fun" you had preparing for it. I'll put you on my prayer list, and know that God is watching over you. Unfortunately, the waiting part for the results of the biopsy can be agonizing. Surgery is sometimes necessary, but no fun. Take care.
Comments: I did my patriotic duty and had a colonoscopy today. He found a mass, did a biopsy....will get results the first of next week. I will have a CT scan next week to determine the invasion.....just where it is. I will have to have surgery to have it removed....please put me on the prayer list....and J.D., I need a candle.
Comments: Toni, you must have been spoiled rotten as a child to have Mark Wilson and The Lovely Nani (Legs) Darnell perform at your party. Did you have a pony, too? I don't envy you going to see Gran Torino. From what I've read, it won't be the "feel good movie of the year". But it should get "Two Tires Up" for some powerful acting.
Comments: Jack you are right about the direction. It was south of the shopping center. Sometimes I don't know it i'm coming or going, so I certainly don't know my directions. But, I did good didn't I Toni? Happy Birthday, David!
Comments: Ada, maybe David began his b/d celebration a little early! Mine is still continuing through today! Went to lunch at a very upscale Italian restaurant at One Arts Plaza - Fedora! I was very impressed and we're now off to see Gran Torino.
Comments: was it Jerry Haynes or Jerry Haines?? Mr. Peppermint's sidekick, Magician, Mark Wilson, and his lovely wife, Doni Darnell, performed their magic tricks for my 8th birthday!
Comments: SNL: your Mom really had you going. Mr Pepermint (and Officer Friendly too) was Jerry Haynes, not Jerry Dean.
Comments: We're moving up in the world -- got Uverse installed todayand I discovered more dust in places that I haven't looked lately. Haven't had cable in about 10+ years. The technician arrived around 12:30 and just left right around 5 pm. If anyone gets an AT&T tech by the name of Raymond, he has the personality of a slug. I asked him to move my armoire back against the wall after he finished with the wiring, and he informed me that I should have read the installation agreement -- they are not suppose to move furniture, but since my armoire wasn't moved out in the first place, he moved it, but refused to move it back against the wall. Ooooooh, another remote and it's scary. Fortunately, my personal email address will remain the same.
Comments: Jack - Dr. Dean is who we used! Did you know that Jerry Dean aka Mr. Pepermint was his brother??!! Yes, mom told me that when I was about 10 or so and I always kept thinking maybe one of those times Mr. Pepermint would be there . . . he never was! Sally - you're right - Lyn & Phil were also in our class, but I don't remember Leonard. I was doing good to rmeember as many as I did! LOL Glad you & your dtr had a good time together, what a great way to spend a b-day . . . celebrating with your dtr!!
Comments: Just adding my two cents worth on "Dr. John". Jimmie was also delievered by him. His sisters and mom used to walk to his office before Jimmie was born, then after he was born they carried him over for checkups. He too remembers the shots, his mother was always in favor of the fastest way to get him well, and the gum. Sally, your memory is better than mine, I barely remember the class. Lot's of times when I'm on here reading what everyone has to say, I wonder if I was even there with them!!!
Comments: Happy Birthday David!! Someone told my mother some horror story about Chester Clinic so we went to Dr. Dean over on 9th or 10th street off Jefferson. He has short, round and had had polio. Left him with a limp. He was in love with penicillin. He was sure it was good for you even if you were not sick at the time. I ALWAYS got a shot when I went to see him. Sandy Mc, I don't want to be picky, but I think Chester Clinic was at the south end of Lancaster-Kiest shopping center. |
