Ai-Yi-Yi!, Susan, bite your tongue.

No, George Peterman was NOT my brother-in-law. Even worse -sister Sue married Mike Rash ('65) right after high school. Things went south in about a year. Then around 1970 she married Jerry Wingo (from Ennis). They had a daughter. Things went south in about a year. She has been "independent" since.

[sidebar: Sue and George P. did have a short-lived dating relationship in the 1970's]

[double sidebar: Susan P. and sister Sue once worked together at ... was it FFE, Frozen Foods Express?]

Don L - I had one as a baseline at age 54.  When I woke up, doctor told me that he would see me in 10 years.  The "funny" thing was that the doc seemed so old then that I'd outlive him and have to see someone else in 10 years.  I also thought that I would be sore afterwards, but was only famished for food and we went quickly to La Madeleine to have lunch.  Wasn't sore a bit.  And my daughter told me that my stomach looked flatter.  I liked that part, although drinking that stuff was AWFUL.  Next time I want to take the pills.

Drove to McKinney today to see my grandson play basketball with the Upward Basketball program.  We ended up spending the day up there and wound up in the old downtown part.  It has really been inproved with wider sidewalks, and it looks like more outdoor eating establishments (when the weather is warmer).

JS - I'll contact George Peterman - thanks for the heads-up.

Toni - JS is somewhat close in his reading review of Gran Torino - I saw it todayAs an ex-military gun-toter, I tend to side with 'jungle rules' when street savages need an attitude adjustment.

Sandy McM - Your wish is my command, but you can blame our classmates for getting me started on this thread:

Linda, Karen (both) & Annette - I never thought I'd see the day when our SOC ladies were discussing Colonoscopies & 'Butt-Hole Surfers' within a few g/b posts of each other!

Ada - I've already said a prayer for you & a positive outcome - seriously.  There will be more.

Ada Ann, I read your post and sent up a prayer for you.  I will continue to pray for your health, strength and faith.
Ronney I don't think I congratulated you on your new position.  So Congratulations!  I think that is wonderful.  I know you must be very excited.
We need a little more humor on this website.  Where are you funny '66er's?

Wow! It has been really busy at the model home where I work today. I hope it's a sign that the home selling market is gradually improving.

Ada Ann, I know you must be concerned right now but I'm praying for a good outcome and I'm sending positive thoughts your way. You have also inspired me to finally go and have the test done myself and hopefully others will follow suit.

Yesterday I received an interesting email from George Peterman, Class of '62. He is the older brother of Larry W. Peterman. Here is the deal:

Quote:

Wednesday at the SOC Men's Luncheon, Wayne Stokes gave me about 100 to 120 reels of 16 MM. Game films from the SOC football team. He happened to be at the school visiting when he discovered they were about to trash all of them. He loaded them up and culled out the ones up till 1960.

I am going to go through them and try to break them down by class. The ones I have run from 60 to 67. I was going to convert them and put them on the internet for eveyone to enjoy. The cost is about $100 per tape. That is a little rich for the whole project and I thought I would maybe donate them to the various reunion commitees to tend to.

I pulled a couple out of my car and checked them. The two i have here both have a high vinegar odor ,which i checked, The smelll means they are deteriating and need to be converted to DVD as quick as possible.

Thought you might check with some classes and see if anybody has the facilities or means to do it. It would be a shame to waste them and they would mean a lot to the guys on the team to have for their familys to enjoy.

If any of you have an interest in pursuing this or want more information, contact George Peterman at Gpeterman1234@aol.com
