Sorry folks if I bragged a bit. I sent an e-mail to a few guys I take $2.00 from on a regular basis at the golf course. The baby is very healthy, and my son and daughter-in-law are thrilled.
The site of your child holding their baby is one we never forget. I've been blessed with 3 little guys that think their Grandpa is crazy. My daughter has another one on the way. I plan on attending every sport or event they play.
I've been instructed not to help with homework.....

Sandra -- Good to see you and Janice.  Haven't seen you in a while.  This afternoon, saw the movie "Taken" with Liam Neesen.  It was action-packed and pretty good.  I liked "Gran Torino" better, had a great message. "Gran Torino" made you care about the characters.

Congratulations Sandy McGee on your new grandone.  One of the days, he'll be running with the other 2 boys.

Sandra, you're right, about certain memories and how they impact us.  I remember as an adult standing in church holding my mother's hand.  Audra likes to hold my hand anytime, but the other 2 haven't gotten to that point yet.  They are embarrassed if I try and hold their hand in public, so, of course, I do it to embarrass them.  Little mean pleasures!

Especially, that cross-eyed bear named Gladly. I wonder if he was "golden" in color?

Hey, Sam:
I had a Winky Dink kit when I was young. Even as a youngster, I thought it was stupid. But, I watched it hoping it REALLY would be "magic" as they claimed. One Saturday morning, my brother and I realized that we were almost too late to see the show. We ran frantically into the house, switched on the TV and saw that they were already instructing people to draw on the screen. We didn't have time to put on the "magic screen" and simply drew on the TV set. After the spanking from our mom, we never saw our Winky Dink kit again. Without the "magic screen," our interest in the show also disappeared.

Oh, and Sandy Joe,
When they hand you that new grandchild.... Look it in all the way. We don't want you fumbling the precious cargo. Congratulations on the new addition.

Yuvonne and I like the old hymns better also. Our "Praise Team" (not to be confused with a choir) leads us in what I call 7-11 songs.  That's 7 words sung 11 times. I like the old songs where we sang about Gods' animals like " Sad, Sad the bitter whale", and While I To, The Fountain Fly" and  Gladly, The Cross eyed Bear". The list goes on but I wish they would mix in a few old hymns for us old guys.  DWS

Congratulations to Grandpa McGee!  Let's hope he gets your good qualities along with Carrie's dads good qualities.  A Valentine baby

Ada, "He Hideth My Soul"  if you have the Baptist Hymnal it page 340.  I leaned over to my sister and said I don't remember this, then we got to the one part and it all came back.  Wonderful memories!  I am so thankful that my parents raised me in a Christian home.
I hope you are doing good Ada,  just take one day at a time!  Thank about you often.  You continue to be in my prayers.

[Clayton Jacob McGee hit the ground running last night at 10:03 P.M., 8lbs. 4oz. of God given inherited intelligence, speed, quickness, handsomeness, pure athletic ability, and full of his PaPaw’s Bullshit. Sandy and Don hope you had a great day yesterday and as you celebrate today may you make many happy memories.
Yesterday it was crazy everywhere.  It was like Christmas.  I have never seen so many people buying Valentines cards, gifts flower, etc.  I went to seven different stores to purchase champagne glasses and never found any.  Take that back, I found one green one.  I was preparing packages for the hotel.
I remember the show Winky Dink, but didn't remember that as being the one with the magic window or whatever it was called.  I remember placing it on the TV screen and drawing.  I ask my sister about it and  she didn't remember it and she always remembers everything.  I thought it was another show, but I must be wrong and don't want to cause Sam his free lunch.
Today at church we sang an old song from the hymnal, which we hardly do anymore, it's always on the screens.  I had forgotten the song till we got to a part that I could clearly hear my mother sing.  It brought a tear to my heart and a wonderful memory.  My mother had a beautiful voice.  It made me miss her.
Saw Linda and Rudy at Cafe Brazil just a little while ago.
Everyone have a great afternoon!
