J.D., hope you had a very happy birthday.  No wonder you are such a sweetheart....being born so close to Valentine's Day!

Since the conversation came around to toys, did anyone play with Barbie dolls? I think we were a little too old for them--my sister who is three years younger had one--but anyone with "girl" children must have become "familiar" with all the stuff.  Well, on Saturday as part of Fashion Week, my daughter went to the runway show celebrating Barbie's 50th anniversary.  She said it was a big party with a sense of humor about the whole thing.  She came home with a new Barbie that she won't even take out of the box!  I have never been fond of Barbie but this looked like fun.
Here is the video from youtube and another of the finale.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, frozen Cheesehead. Ain't no cheese like ripe cheese. Hope you had a great day.
SNL where does the strawberry part of that drink come in?? Sounds more like a almond passion. Glynda like amaretto too. It's good when drank out of a bellybutton. You and Toni ought to try it sometime.

Toni - my sentiments exactly!!  I love amaretto straight up or over crushed ice.  Mmmmm sooo good!!  When I saw that particular martini had it as one of the main ingredients, couldn't resist!  It was at the Outback.

J.D., you share a birthday with my evil sister Sue. Like her, it is a shame your special day is grossly overshadowed by that commercial "card/candy/flowers" holiday that falls one day prior.

Let me just say that your ongoing generosity and political passion are much appreciated.

Happy B-day JD!!  2-15 huh.  Hope you & Kathy had a nice celebration yesterday!  May you have many many more!!

Don & I had dinner at the Outback last night & I had my first martini.  It was a strawberry passion martini.  When I read it was made with Di Sorano amaretto & Blue Sky vodka... had to try one!  Wow, it was great!

Sandy and Don, happy belated anniversary wishes.... and here's to many, many more!

JD, happy belated birthday wishes to you, sir!  Check your email!

It seems like the only place in Oak Cliff to buy the Winky-Dink green film and markers was at Toy World in Wynnewood.  All the kids in my neighborhood came to my house when that show was on each week - what fun we had watching that show on our monster oak console black & white television set!

Sam Smith, I'm still waiting to find out if you're still alive!

Happy, although late, anniversary wishes to SNL and Don.
Congrats to Sandy Joe and SueSue. Now Sandy, when you start telling this one about your roundball ability, don't forget and dribble him!!! I know you already have a ball glove for him, but you might wait a few months till you give him a bat.
Sorry Sammy, I thought Romper Room had the magic, writable screen. I don't remember much about Winky Dink, but I do remember having the green plastic screen on the TV and being told EVERY TIME that I can ONLY write on the TV when that show was on and ONLY when the screen was installed. I think it only took 2 spankings for me to remember that!!!
