Bay Watch Capps, good news for you and your 67' crew. The DISD is now allowing Adult Students. Based on the method you use in keeping score on the golf course, you might want to brush up on math.

My wife has been with the district for over twenty years now.  Her third year was in the new 9th grade school, but of course they have changed all of that up.  I thought the article in the morning news this morning was very interesting about how Lancaster ISD "did not have any substitute teachers."  The education system is beginning to show cracks around the edges.  Now, Duncanvill has more rooms open, but cannot pay staff.  I remember my class size in geometry at SOC (Mr. Gunter) was fifteen students, and I learned.  Class sizes these days are 32, and the roomws are smaller.

Bolsa is very crowded on weekends.  Call and find out their half price drink night---wine is excellent (try the Malbec).

KMG, it's a different kind of tradition with this group.  About 80-100 people..guys/gals, etc. It's quite the shindig.  Jack, I must have missed something about the rehab....no clue where you're headed with that one.

Tallcake, you must not have been staying up on the latest torment us guys are being subjected to; Couples Showers!!!!
I think waterboarding is less torturous. CS ought to be against the law. Anytime three or more of us guys gather and slide off to one side, we are reeled back in and separated, forced to stand around while all the ouuuuuuuuuing and ahinnnnnnnnnnnng take place.
Good Luck, Richard!!!! Be sure and let us know when you get out of rehab.

Larry, it is a small world.  I used to have friends that taught at the h.s., but I believe all have retired by now.  Mostly language teachers.  How long has your wife been teaching there?  My employer taught Latin at the h.s. many years ago; now we sell and service Avaya phone systems.  Tell your wife that my youngest daughter (24) teaches 2nd year AP Spanish and 3rd year Spanish at DeSoto H.S.  Yesterday she emailed me that a security guard there that's had a crush on her since last year gave her, in her words, "the mushiest" Valentine card.  I think that it embarrassed her, and he is really a nice guy, but she has a boyfriend.

What time of day do you go to Bolsa?  Is is really crowded on the weekends?  We tend to eat early, like the old folks we've become, cause I don't like to wait long.

yes, the name of that place is Bolsa.  Don't think anyone will be eating on the patio the next few nights, but it is a fantastic place to have some wine and some of their appetizers.  Funny about you being in Duncanville.  My wife is the AP english teacher for 9th grade at the only high school, and now I work near the intersection of Cockrell Hill and 67.  It is a small world.

For those of you talking about Richard, does anyone remember Larry Lee Walling?  Also died in a tragic motorcycle accident just shortly after he was married.

Happy Birthday to the beautiful Rosemary ZC! Hope you are back to your "young" self.

SandraMC, you can count on my prayers for you and your family. Stay positive.

Ada Ann, I know you will come through this with flying colors. Love you girl.

Richard, I'm surprised that you are going to a shower. Surely you will be the only man in attendance. As for beheading a spouse, I can't imagine such a thing. Pistol whipping is far more satisfactory.

Happy Jack- don't start B-fingers lying. (THE REAL STORY) The class of 67 is the proud owner of a ringer that shot in the mid 70's. Under cover man for the G-men, he was taking a little time off to play with his SOCarats. I would give his name out but it maybe classified.

I can not think of walking the halls of SOC without thinking of the beautiful brown eyes with a smile to match of Rose Mary. Happy B/D

Thanks Jack - we did survive the storms, but it was really loud and we did lose power a couple of times. I think the worst part was south of Atlanta.  And Sally, I do remember when they sent that rocket up in space - Rob was one of the names I couldn't remember.  And now we can add Mike Adkins to the list of "Glenview" kids!  Sandy - congratulations on another grandson.  I am just loving having a grandson and am so glad they live close so I can see him often.  J.D. - happy belated birthday.

Sandy McGee -- What you said about the girls flocking around Gary D. -- when I saw the picture posted of him on the GB in Vietnam w/o a shirt on -- well I never saw GD in that "light" before.

Rosemary -- Happy birthday and many more.

Sandra -- Hope all is better today, in the light of the day.  I'll pray for you and your family.  Not sleeping b/c of worry, etc. is not good for your health.  You need some peace.
