I can't thank you enough for your prayers.  They were certainly felt.
Wednesday morning my son Brian had a raxodomy performed on his back.  It's a procedure where they burn the nerve endings next to the spinal column for server back pain.  The anesthesiologist administered a medication called Versed, which deadens the central nervous system. If you read about this drug, he had the worse reactions.  Continue to pray for Brian.
By the way I never stay up that late, had just gotten home from the hospital.  I don't have a problem sleeping.I could take a nap now.
I missed your Birthday Rosemary.  I hope it was a good one and that you are happy and healthy.
I believe the boys are watching a couple of football games about now.  Know you guys will have fun.

Don L:

You are SO right about Bill Junell. He was a great guy with one of the most winning smiles you could imagine. And you are also right in that his senior picture looks JUST like he always looked. If he had an enemy in this world, I never knew of it.

I was stunned when I first heard he had died. I still have a problem imagining him being "gone." I never think of SOC without thinking of what a kind person Bill was.

Interesting link - On left side, gray box 'Find Projects', click 'Browse by State/City' to review states' shares of stimulus package.  TX shows 1,240 projects.  Our Congresspersons are really trying to 'bring home the bacon' & put our tax dollars to work!

But, it's not a done deal yet - as the article says: "These projects are not part of the stimulus bill. They are candidates for funding by federal grant programs once the bill passes."

Susan/Kick A** - I believe William died in an auto accident in '68 or so.  I had been looking up classmates in the phone book & when I called, his mom answered.

I never knew her, but she sounded like a very sweet lady & it was difficult to end the call after she told me.  I wasn't aware of his nick-name, but he was a helluva nice guy & I never saw him frown - just like his Sr. pic.

Ada, I think so.  That sounds familiar.  He was always such a happy, go-lucky type.

Buckethead McGee- I am a proud product of Rowa Paschall, R Mattingly and Physics of R.P. Booshada in math. Now English is another subject. I am glade you recognized an opportunity to better your self in math. That way YOU can keep a score card accurate. When YOU hit the ball 6 times on A hole and put a 4 on a score card. That extra math will help YOU keep a true accurate score card my friend.

Sweet Ada Ann:

You are in my prayers. Keep on kickin', girl. You've got a long life of fun left in you. And, we will all rejoice together with you when you come to the next mini and are completely healed. You're a "keeper," and we all love you.

Larry S - I remember Larry W very well.  He lived only a few blocks away & we were very good friends.

I found out about his tragic death, from another friend, Bill Griffith - big, red headed guy - during '67 or so while I was home on CG leave - I was stunned.  The last 'motor' I recall him having was either a Vespa or Cruisaire, but not sure that was what he was riding that day.

I ran into his sister, Sandra, & mother, Bonnie, in Bonds Clothing at the old A. Harris (Sanger Harris) shopping center sometime afterward, but not since.

A year or so later, I also found out about William Junell's death while home on leave.  I didn't come home again for a while afterward.
