Comments: I too enjoyed the Oak Cliff website...I had an aunt who lived in Stevens Park..so that was interesting to me. Isn't funny how you never get over Oak Cliff? vm
Comments: Susan, Thank you for that website. There were neighborhoods that I dream about but never knew where they were- Now I know --Beckley Club Estates, Wynnewood North. I made my sisters drive around those neighborhoods with me a few years ago but never really found what I thought was there. Now know- thanks!
Comments: Rick, not that great....73-74, no clouds, all sun. No snow or rain at all. Happy birthday Bovie; I have another wine recommendation for you; Foley pinot noir (2005 is the best, but hard to find). If you can't find it, let me know & I'll send you some.
Comments: Susan; that is an interesting article. Funny, I would have NEVER thought of Tenth street as being in southeastern Oak Cliff. Bovie, I know I speak for many people when I say we are disappointed we have never been invited to a "show"!!

We'll be glad to go with you into OC. Sandy is the best OC driver I know!! Just ask her! The football DVDs had to be a real hoot for you guys! I would have loved to have been a "fly on the wall" to hear those instant replays! Rick, now why do you think anyone would be talking about you?

Comments: Jack H., Sean Penn's appearance on the Academy Awards last night did have special meaning for me. If I posted this earlier and forgot, please forgive me for repeating a rare TRUE story. Back in 1967 I went to work for a stock brokerage firm in downtown Dallas. It was called Ling & Co. My clerical job was account reconciliations. Harvey Milk, yes the same one, was employed there as a stockbroker. He claimed Dallas as "home" for a couple of years and moved to California in 1968 or so. It was freaky to learn years later that he'd risen in San Francisco politics and then was murdered along with Mayor Mosconi by an irrate city employee. He shoulda stayed in Big-D. Me, too.
