Comments: Well, the only person to convince that we may have a future BMX olympian is his mother!! She doesn't share the same enthusiasm as his father even though her own brother was a BMXer!! Come to think of it...that might be why!  My daughter-in-law is convinced that the racing attire was already purchased well in advance rather than borrowed from a friend of my son. About the bike...my son... um.....I mean Santa Claus brought him the racing bike for Christmas. It's only a matter of time before my beautiful daughter-in-law learns how to change racing gears.... Jack, shhhh....Shortcake doesn't realize that I know where the spare keys are hidden! You should have spoken up sooner, the RV is already full....shhh....not a word to Cubby or Shortcake! Jack, you think I didn't get it about the karioke bar...but I did...only thing is.... Bruce couldn't do it without you!! Just ask Glynda!
Comments: Toni: did Shortcake leave you keys to the RV?? If so, what about party bus for the weekend?? We could get a group together and "cruise" over to Shreveport or Vicksburg or someplace and PARTY the whole time. I'm sure Shortcake and Bobby wouldn't mind a bit. In fact, I think they would insist. It is much better than the RV just sitting around!!! I can leave anytime, just let me know.
Comments: As you probably have heard, Dan Seals died Wed night! Good article in the Dls Mrng News tda abt the history of Dan Seals aka England Dan & his high sch buddy John Ford Coley. For those of you not in Dls - it's in the Metro section pg 6B with the obits. Dan was a local boy, '66 grad from Samuell HS. Toni - Brayden is so cute & KMG is probably right... now he's going to want those expensive toys!!! 
Comments: We will try! I am in austin right now as you can see. Traffic is worse here then in Dallasif that is possible. You just don't even get on 35 at anytime at all unless you just need a parking spot.

Comments: Dale, I checked and the 10th commandment says nothing about Ranch, and you not my neighbor, so I do! Sounds like a wonderful "investment". Toni, your grandson is so handsome. I know you are very proud of him. He's gonna be asking Grandma for one of those $2500 bikes!

Comments: Coasty Don or Toni; Does Bruce stopping in Lago Vista each week mean that a karaoke bar has opened there?? Dale, I thought that was a little far for a weekend place. Sounds like a nice spread and the makings of a fun place.
Comments: Jack, Yuvonne and I are not going to be moving to the ranch any time soon. We bought it as a place to hunt and fish and to some extent as an investment. There are 314 acres and a really nice house and barn. We will probably spend 3-4 months a year out there and the rest in Conroe with the Bay- Rats. We do plan to move there after the grand kids get too big for us. I think Yuvonne would move today if not for the grand kids being here. We have deer at the house every morning with our coffee and all the other critters scattered about to chase. Lots of rattlesnakes also.
Comments: Don L., I understand from Bruce that Lago Vista got 2" hail yesterday....hope all is well at your house! Bruce stops each week now in Lago Vista!

Comments: Hey Shortcake, enjoy the graduation tmo & you & Bobby have a great time on your cruise!! Gordy leaves tmo for a week-long cruise. He's going to the Bahamas. We'll miss you... have fun!! Wow, The Smiley's are ranch owners! Sounds like a terrific place to get away to & enjoy the beautiful outdoors. I bet the grandsons thought they wre in heaven!!
Comments: Dale - Sounds like you did the best thing on the lake and harvested a large portion of the game. Now what time is supper ? Make a note on the Mini get gather Dale, Friday 6/12 golf outing. Hope to nail down place and time this today with almost a dozen SOCites hacking at Bear Creek G. C.
Comments: Hi Everyone-we are leaving today for Austin-my nephew graduates from the DPS Academy tomorrow. Then we are leaving Sunday on a cruise to the Bahamas. |
