Comments: My Sarah graduates from HS this Saturday. Went to awards ceremony this last week and saw her get her chords and awards.Iam so proud of her.My son from Calif. will be in Weds , so I get to see my new Grandson..cannot wait! I will have to go back and read recent comments.Take care all! Ronney..hows our girl?
Comments: McGee, the pic is of Kenneth W. Blackburn, the guy who owned the home next to ours on Calcutta. Of course he'd of been around 38 or so when you were tossin' papers. He's the guy who used to torment his paper boy by throwing his payment out in the grass and commenting "if I have to look for my paper, you can look for your money". He also didn't take kindly to the way I mowed our yard. Got upset when my lawnmower would blow the clippings on to the adjacent part of his yard. Blackburn's and his wife Janet had one saving grace. They had a niece my age (15 at the time) who'd frequently visit them. She was a knockout strawberry blonde beauty named Barbara Brown who lived on the other side of town. I did my best to keep "Across Town Barbara Brown" entertained in the Summer of 1960.
Comments: I hope that everyone had a nice weekend. They come and go too quickly, especially to those of us who still are working. Kick A, you have no idea as to how happy I am to see spring finally here!! It has been a very chilly spring so far and I can not wait for my perinnials and annuals to start growing more. Need that sun and warm weather!! My one addittion is life is FLOWERS and lots of them. Love diggin' in that thar dirt! Mary G. Rogers, Hi! I am new to the guest book as well. It is a great way to see how everyone is doing. I want to try to look in every couple of days or so. I am going to pull out my den tonight and look up pictures. Don F. and Barb it is a date on my next trip to Dallas for Mexican Food!! But I want to treat you two!! Opps, DWI??? Senior moment, Sandy. I fly out of BWI to DFW, right?
Comments: Doc Southworth, the face does'nt ring a bell. I tried to throw most papers from the side walk. I thought it would help making throws from the outfield. A few landed on the roof, in the flower beds, or would bang against the door. I loved collecting money at night when the end of the month came. Got to see the girls in their P.J.s Are you joining us next week? Heard a rumor the Conroe Hustler Smiley is joining us on the links.
Comments: Hello,Karen, yes I remember you and your memory is right on.I'm surprised you remember that.Glad all is well with you all is good here. Thanks for the welcome .
Comments: Sandy McGee, I've been thinking of you. In fact, you are probably the only one in the class who might recognize the attached pic. This is his 1943 senior pic from the Sunset High yearbook (sorry for the fuzzy quality). His "activities" included Student Council rep, President of the 4-B Class, Football Letter, Football Captain, Voted Best Blocker, Track, Senior Hi-Y and ROTC. He went on to play football for SMU. Try to picture him around the early 1960's, wearing glasses, weighing 50 lbs. more, and complaining because his newspaper wasn't "right on the porch". Can you name this former Bison jock? http://people.consolidated.net/swsw/kwb.jpg
Comments: Mrs. K.P. Hughes, please tell your Aggie husband to not play Rowdy Yates this week and to work on his golf game. I assume he swings like Botox Browning (140 MPH), and putts like a linebacker. His help is needed in this battle with these wannabees. If he shows up late, he rides with the Cheezehead.
Comments: Haven't posted lately - but had a call the other night from Suzanne Keathley (Richard's Cousin). She went to Zumwalt with us, got chosen as an Lionette officer and her parents decided to move to Lancaster. She did one game. Her husband is a SWA pilot, Dallas based, so he starts talking to Jana - she gives him my number - Suzanne calls and we have a long conversation. She went to Pease Elementary - and remembers a lot of you. I invited her to come on the 13th - gave her a phone number for one person. She sounds delightful and I know everyone would enjoy seeing her. I gave her this site also. Now that I have told everyone about her - maybe she'll post. ![]() See you all on the 13th.

Comments: Woo! I can see the excitement (revelry) building between the "66er's" and "67er's". Jack, maybe you should be the putt by putt, stroke by stroke reporter. You can also be the heckler to distract the 67er's. Don't forget your lap top where you can post intermittently during the day. You may also need a rescue dog to ride around with you. KMD, and I thought Dagley had the best memory
Comments: Hi Mary. Good to see another classmate joining in on the guestbook. I seem to remember that you and I were born on the same day or a day apart in the same hospital (7/22/48 Methodist Hospital). I think we talked about it in gym class one day and we said we might have been beside one another in the nursery. Hope you are doing well and will continue to join in.
Comments: Mr. McGee, I bet their golf score is closer to the Mendoza line than his batting average. I'm already spending my share of the winnings. DWS
Comments: Eagleman Smiley, do you think Bay Watch (a.k.a. Robert Gibbs) Capps as spokesman for the 67' wannabees understands he has placed those chumps in a tough spot. I do recall Coach Harold Hughes wondering if Bay Watch would have a batting average the Mendoza Line. We know how that turned out.
Comments: Buddy, A lesson follows in how to show respect for your elders, as "WE" split the money among the '66 group. Nothing but fairways and greens when the 66'ers are seen!!
Comments: John - can't believe that we both stopped by Bob's place on the same day. Really great ice cream and peaches. And, yes we did have a discussion about the mini coming up in a couple of weeks. Too bad we can't bring his ice cream! Did you enjoy Canton. I like going to 1st Monday but Bobby is not fond of it. He is not a shopper. Once it starts getting crowded he is ready to leave. I usually leave him at home! Yesterday was an exception and a last! |
